The only change is that you ll now need to validate your concessionary pass before you board the tram, instead of showing it to a conductor. But don t worry, there are plenty of places where you can do this for quick boarding you should touch on your pass using the validators which are located at every tram stop. If you need to buy a ticket please use the ticket machine instead.

what should i do if i m travelling with a concessionary pass? If you re travelling with a concessionary pass issued by Nottingham City or Nottinghamshire County Council, you should touch on your pass at the validator at the tram stop every time you travel. You do not need to purchase a ticket in advance unless you are travelling when your pass is not valid for free travel. During these times you should buy a normal ticket from the ticket machine before you board the tram. when is my concessionary pass valid? what happens if i haven t got a valid pass or ticket? We ve listened to your concerns about people who try and avoid buying a ticket. We understand this is upsetting and unfair to the vast majority of fare-paying customers, that s why we ve introduced Penalty Fares for people who travel without a valid ticket, pass or smartcard. This ensures that we can continue to improve the tram service for everyone in Nottingham. If you travel without a valid ticket, pass or smartcard, you ll be issued with a 50 Penalty Fare Notice.
