NIGHT RATING OF AIRPORTS DOTr targets to equip all 42 airports nationwide with night-landing capabilities From only 15, we now have 20 night-rated airports. In 2017, 4 airports were night-rated: Legazpi, Roxas, Dumaguete, and Caticlan This 2018, 4 more airports are targeted to be completed: Naga, Dipolog, Cotabato, and Cauayan. PNR CLARK RAILWAY 107-km rail line that will connect Tutuban - Clark Pre-construction activities for Phase 1 started in January 2018. The Long Haul segment picks up from Los Baños and runs through Batangas, Quezon and the Bicol provinces of Camarines Sur and Albay to Sorsogon
METRO MANILA SUBWAY The first subway of the country is set for groundbreaking on 4Q 2018 A 35-km line that will run from Mindanao Avenue in Quezon City to NAIA in Pasay City On 13 Nov 2017, the Exchange of Notes was signed between the Governments of Philippines and Japan. COMMUNICATIONS NAVIGATION SURVEILLANCE/ AIR TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT CNS/ATM was formally inaugurated by Pres. Duterte on 16 January 2018. The technology will make airspace safer, minimize flight delays and improve over-all travel experience. The project included the installation of additional 10 radars covering 100% of PH airspace.
