The Reserve at Taj Cape Town - ABC Building ABC Bar The imposing bronze doors from St Georges Mall lead into the 82 sqm ABC Bar, where guests will be surrounded by high ceilings and hand painted murals. This area can be used as a breakaway area or to welcome up to 50 guest with canapés and aperitifs before proceeding through to their main event. The Bank Hall The original grand Bank Hall allows for a variety of event formats within its marble interior and high ceilings. A total of 422 sqm on the ground floor can host up to 400 guests in a lavish cocktail event, or up to 220 seated guests at a glamorous banquet. The venue can be optimised for events to cater for up to 300 cinema seated guests, or up to 170 guests seated in a school room style. Furthermore, the Bank Hall can be sub divided into three separate spaces to cater for smaller parties or different streams of events. The Vault Built in the 1920 s as a walk-in Bank vault for the African Banking Corporation, this unique 157 sqm venue serves as a multi-function space. The Vault can be used as a stand-alone venue for many different extraordinary events and can host up to 80 guests in an intimate cocktail setting. Still displaying the original colossal safe-door and a wrap around wine cellar with over 12 000 bottles is accessible via a winding staircase or one of the oldest open cage elevators in South Africa.
