The fourth graders, who attend Riverbend Academy, started at Rivera Park, located at 901 South Beach Street and traveled north, walking a little over a mile. With the help of the City s parks staff, the students, teachers and parents, we were able to fill three large bags of trash. Coming together as a community to keep our parks clean benefits the parks and the creatures living in them. It also helps make our community stronger by coming together to achieve a common goal. Kindness is contagious and that showed last Friday as passersby thanked the children, teachers and parents for their hard work and dedication to our community. We send a huge THANK YOU to Riverbend Academy for lending little and big hands to help keep our parks and entire community litter free.
