Around the World in Many Ways I showed a new picture book to the class with the title of this slide show. The students chose a transportation mode that wasn t used in 80 Days, their summer reading book, and they invented a quick tale of the two main characters using this method of transportation. They tried to keep the comic tone of the original.

Jet packs and a Bet By:Evan, Andrew, and Dalan

Phileas Fogg and Passepartout just left Cyprus, a country in Europe. They need to cross the Black Sea.

The steamer just left the dock, and Fogg starts panic. They are very confused.

Luckily, out of the blue, two men crash down onto the dock. Fogg approached the two men.

He asked them where they got the mysterious devices. They replied: Long story short, take these, catch your steamer.

Around the world in 80 days on a quad bike

As fogg woke up from his late after noon nap he went to his garage and started to set out on his journey. While he was getting his quad ready passapartout got himself a quad so he could join his master in the race across the world on a quad. THE FIRST DAY

HALF WAY THROUGH THE JOURNEY As they were riding on 280 highway they came across some police. They hit full speed and went into the woods to get away. The cops didn t know where they went. Then a random deer came out of now where and ran right into Philleas Fogg s quad. So they ate it for their dinner that night.

3/4 INTO THE JOURNEY OR 60 DAYS INTO JOURNEY When they woke up they got back on the journey. Then they find a real country girl in real trouble with a dangerous bull. As passapartout got his red bandana and distracted the bull while Fogg got the country girl and took her away from the bull.

As they gained closer to their destination, Philleas s quad broke down. They hired a repair man that fixed his quad for 500$. They started off again and arrived in 3 hours, 3 minutes away from losing the bet. THE LAST DAY

As Fogg and Passepartout were riding through the jungle, the elephant took a wrong turn.

They were in a magical forest that automatically turned them old and in wheelchairs.

A old man came up to Fogg. When Fogg asked who he was, the man responded Monsier Its me Passepartout.

A man pushed them to the starting line of the wheelchair race and explained that if they won that race they would return to their normal age. They raced against Fix and Colonel Procter across America.

Fogg and Passepartout Returned winning because of a bribe of 5,000 pounds and their normal age.

Mr.Fogg was a rich man who lived in England, and he also like to go to the reform club. One day the men were playing monopoly. Mr.Mcdougel (Mr. foggs friend) said he had he heard people talking about a challenge were you had to try and go around the world in 100 days. Mr.Fogg said I bet I can go around space in 80 days. Mr.Mcdougel was shocked but he thought was joking. But Mr.Fogg was not joking. Mr.Fogg said I bet 20,000 pounds I can go around space in 80 days. All the men were shocked, they asked how he was going to travel.

His servant Passepartout was at home. When he got a text from Mr.Fogg said were going a trip. Pack your bags. Mr. Fogg

(they were next seen in outer space - except you can t see them here b/c of the atmosphere)

Around the world on rollerblades Sarah Elizabeth and Campbell

Fogg decided to go around the world in 80 days, on rollerblades. They were on a bet of 20 thousand pounds. His servant went with him.

On the way, they saved a lady named Aouda.

What you don t know is that they saved her on roller blades so they could get out fast.

How did they saved her?

They saved her from being jumped by some bad people. They skated by right before and Aouda was grateful and gave Fogg her number.

Northwards bound Let s go north instead of going to New York said Passepartout. let s go north to Canada and ride across the ocean there said Fogg. So they start going Canada to get about there then the abdominal snowman starts chasing them. Then they go to his cave to hide the find a all terrain snow vehicle then they get on it and start riding to the nearest port. When they finally get to a port and on a boat the snow man was still chasing them!31

Going east When they were getting on the boat the abdominal snow man was right there so Passepartout hid in front of Fogg so he would not get found. Then when he found Fogg he kept searching for Passepartout and then Passepartout jumped out and scared the snowman and the snow man jumped in the water and swam away.!32

Phileas Fogg, Passepartout, and Auoda rent a helicopter from Ulysses S. Grant and they headed to Europe. IN WHICH

Passepartout falls out of the helicopter and proceeds to fall into the Atlantic Ocean. ON THE WAY,

It s okay though because Auoda threw the ladder to Passepartout and rescued him. They continued on with the journey and made it Europe safely.

The Infestation Terror has struck the world. Giraffes and Penguins have taken over. People are horrified over these cute animals. Phileas Fogg and his new servant, Passepartout have taken the job of going around the world and bring these animal's reign to an end. There is one catch.they will do it on Po-go Sticks.

Fogg and Passepartout were walking through China when a raging carriage hit Passepartout. It sprained his ankle so Fogg called the hospital and tried to bribe the ambulance driver to get them to the bay.he said no so Fogg bought the ambulance. Part1
