NHHAC News The Newsletter of the North Hills Historic Auto Club January 2018 Volume 48 Issue 1 A Message from the President I know I always mention how fast the holidays come and go I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and that the New Year will be happy, healthy and prosperous! As 2018 begins, we now have two events to look forward to! Our After Christmas Party and our Mid-Winter Trip. If you plan on going to the party, please be sure to call Jack Swaney now to get your reservations in. Thanks to Jack for organizing the party and for always making it a success. This year, the Mid-Winter Trip will be back to Black Water Falls State Park in West Virginia. If you would like to join in on this trip, please see the details in this newsletter submitted by Jackie Sheerer. In prior years, when we went to the lodge at Black Water Falls, the weekend was always a lot of fun! Be sure to get your reservations made, so you don t miss out! Thanks to Jackie for taking care of this event for us! Another thanks I want to pass along is to Daryl Elliott for his presentation on the cars of the twenties at last month s meeting. Always a pleasure to review our automotive history! Now we re on to the New Year! Let s make it a memorable one! Your President Steve Illsley History The North Hills Historic Auto Club was founded at Leon s Tavern on Babcock Blvd. in August of 1971, by 4 men as follows: Bill Glesner, Eddie Kuslick, Ken Kelley & Dave Moore. Purpose The general purpose of the NHHAC shall be to encourage the members to acquire, preserve, restore, exhibit and make use of antique, classic and special interest automobiles, and such other motor vehicles considered by the club fitting this purpose. Also, the club will promote the introduction of ideas and fellowship among its members. Since 1971 www.nhhaclub.com

Minutes - December 10, 2017 On December 10, 2017, President Steve Illsley called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. following the Pledge of Allegiance. Secretary Minutes: Approved Motion by: Mick Quinn Seconded by: Mike Coco Treasurers Report: Approved Current cash balance: $2,020.11 Motion by: Bob Moore Seconded by: Daryl Elliott Wellness Report: Phil Deacon is now back at his apartment Old Business: After Christmas Party reservations are moving forward. To date 14 reservations are committed. Reservation form and details in monthly newsletter. Winter getaway is scheduled for March 2-4, 2018. Location: Blackwater Falls, located in the Allegheny Mountains in Tucker County; near Davis, West Virginia. Additional information in this newsletter. Men's breakfast is December 29, 2017 at 8:00 a.m. at the Cracker Barrel Restaurant, 1740 Rt. 228, Cranberry Twp, 16066.
