The terrain close to the AD is relatively fl at, but rises to just over 1300FT 7 NM to NW and to more than 2250FT within 10 NM to W. Further to the W the mountain reaches more than 5000FT within 25 NM and culminates with 6630FT Mount Troodos, 40 NM W of Larnaca. 1.2 Be aware of the restricted areas. 2. WEATHER 2.1 Mediterranean climate with sunny, dry and warm summers. The winters are very mild with short rains or squalls. Mean MAX/ temperatures +32.1 /+20.9 and +16 /+7.5 in JUL/JAN respectively. 2.2 Summer. Sunny and hot. Warmest in JUL/AUG/SEP with temperatures of +30, cooled by the sea-breeze. If unable, completely vacate the runway and hold at W1, 6, 7, F1 or L6 until communication with Ground is established. 7.3 E and H are rapid exit taxiways on Runway 22.
