Newsletter Editor Notes Linda Yelich Wow did it get cold for awhile snow birds have the right idea although I hear it wasn t that warm there some days either it was reported at the meeting February 26 th that some jam tarts thought it was too cold at 66 degrees to ride! Glenn s been out on his up here We had 19 in attendance Monday and there was a bit of business discussed. Covered was the time change breakfast March 11, 9:30 AM Red Lodge Guest Ranch - as usual cinnamon bun first then breakfast! Next was information on Salmon Arm trip the long weekend in May 18th-21st. More information is available from Kirk Elliott at 250-374-2583 or kandkelliott@shaw.ca. As well the Hoot-in-the-Ute Zermatt Resort Rally in Midway, Utah is May 25th - 27 th and Wayne has more information if anyone is interested in going. We have decided to do another bowling fun event April 21 st in Innisfail from 4PM 6PM with buffet supper after at the Great Wall. I need to know at the March 26 th meeting how many of you will attend so that I can confirm numbers with the bowling alley and restaurant. Calendars will be available at the March meeting, $10.00 each and Fred will have the new ride schedule ready. George says the 1 st Aid course will be March 17 th, 9AM at the Innisfail Legion. If anyone is interested in adding your name to the list, please contact him directly as soon as possible. Chapter Director position will be vacant end of June anyone interested?? DQ was visited by most after the meeting just to do a quality control check for summer consumption!

CHAPTER DIRECTORS MONTHLY INPUT.. Well, the month of February has come and is almost gone or gone at the time of writing this. It's had its up and downs - some snow, some cold, and some warm. A very good mixture of weather. We will have to wait and see how March is going to be. Could be a few more days or weeks before us Canadians get out on the roads. In saying this, at our last meeting as I pulled into the parking lot, what do you suppose I saw. There sat a Honda trike belonging to Glenn Turple. He had ridden his bike to the meeting. Temp was between -8 and -9 Celsius. Now, there is one tough and dedicated man to the sport of bike riding. Good going Glenn. There were 19 members present at our February meeting. Not a bad turn out for us during the winter months. Things that we discussed were the up coming First Aid course, which is on Saturday, March 17 @ 9:00 am in the Innisfail Legion board room. For more info phone George @ 1-403-227-4947. We also discussed the seminars that are coming up on May 5. We picked out a few of the seminars that we would like to hear about. Salmon Arm Rally was mentioned for the long weekend in May. Time change breakfast is set for March 11 @9:30 am at the Red Lodge Guest Ranch west of Bowden. Fred said that Calendars would be ready for pick up at the next meeting which is on March 26 @ 7:30 pm at the Innisfail Legion. We are also looking for someone or a couple to takeover the Director's position as Linda and myself will be stepping down at the end of June 2017. That's about it for now so signing off - you guys in the deep south enjoy! WAYNE AND LINDA CHAPTER DIRECTORS Brilliant in its simplicity... A. Back off and let those men who want to marry men, marry men; and B. Allow those women who want to marry women, marry women; and C. In three generations, there will be no NDP or Liberals Such an unfair world: When a man talks dirty to a woman it's considered sexual harassment. When a woman talks dirty to a man its $10.50/min (charges may vary). Isn't it weird that: In Canada our flag and culture offends so many people, yet our benefits don t?

MILLION MILES OF MEMORIES By Glenn Turple The first picture of my riding season in 2012 was taken near Didsbury, Alberta, January 8 th. Shortly after that I flew to Cuba with a group of five of the Christian Motorcycle Association to put a floor in a church that was using a dirt floor. It was interesting being in a country still using oxen and horses for field power. Lots of bicycles and small motorbikes and cars and trucks from the fifties. Most of them have been fitted with four cylinder diesel motors from Russia. Some trucks are used for people who ride in open boxes on two and three ton units. My first longer ride was to Acadia Valley and Empress on my GL1200 Aspencade on the Victoria Day Weekend.

The next events were the Vintage Bike Rally s at Ponoka the last weekend of July, then to Biggar, Saskatchewan on the first weekend of August. As there were no rooms left, the alternative was to get a room in Rosetown for two nights and riding back and forth to Biggar. The longest ride of the year was in September to Prince Rupert, British Columbia and Hyder, Alaska. The route out was via Jasper, Prince George to Prince Rupert where I visited with a nephew and family. On the way back, the next stop was for lunch at Hyder. From there it was to Prince George headed for Chetwynd, British Columbia for the night. The next stop was at Falher, Alberta to get a picture of the largest bee in the world.

From there it was down Highway 33 (the Grizzly Trail) to Swan Hills and to Fort Assiniboine to get a picture of the worlds largest wagon wheel and pick. From there it was an easy ride home. Mileage for the year was 34,171 kilometers. And, on the lighter side.. Some American hunters stopped at a Canadian dairy farm. One of them noticed a pile of manure so asked the farmer do you put manure on your strawberries? The farmer replied I don t know how you do things down there, but on our strawberries here we put on sugar and cream! Thanks Glenn:)

Hello everyone and welcome to the new Prairies District which includes Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba with a total of six chapters. Over the next year we hope to have a number of opportunities for members within the District to meet each other. Soon we will have a District webpage which will be the central point for all members to get the information of what s happening within the Prairies District Chapters and GWRRA. This will be a valuable tool for the chapters that don t have webpages of their own as it will be accessible to all members. We have a couple of positions on the District Team that need to be filled and we are looking for members that want to grow with the District. If you have some knowledge about GWRRA, that is the first step and if you are unsure whether you can do it or not, remember, we were all had the same fears. You will never be alone and we can help train you to the position that you would volunteer for. The two positions that we need to fill are the District Ride Coordinator and District Motorist Awareness Coordinator. If you are interested and would like more information, please send us an email and we will get back to you. Soon the snowbirds will be back from their winter getaways and our riding season will be here. One of the first events is the Hoot-In-The-Ute (Zermatt Rally) May 25 27, 2018 at the Zermatt Resort in Midway, UT. This is a Multi-District event that should bring members from Districts surrounding Zermatt including those here in Canada. Crumpled Money While enjoying their evening cocktails, the wife asks her husband, in a very seductive voice, "Have you ever seen Twenty dollars all crumpled up?" "No," said her husband. She gave him a sexy little smile, unbuttoned the top 3 or 4 buttons of her blouse, and slowly reached down into the cleavage created by a soft, silky push-up bra, and pulled out a crumpled Twenty Dollar bill. He took the crumpled Twenty Dollar bill from her and smiled approvingly. She then asked him, "Have you ever seen Fifty dollars all crumpled up?" "Uh... no, I haven't," he said, with an anxious tone in his voice. She gave him another sexy little smile, pulled up her skirt, and seductively reached into her tight, sheer panties... and pulled out a crumpled Fifty Dollar bill. He took the crumpled Fifty Dollar bill and started breathing a little quicker with anticipation. "Now," she said, "have you ever seen $50,000 dollars all crumpled up?" He said, "No!," trying to hide his anticipation. She said, "Check the garage." This Photo by Unknown Author is licensed under CC BY-NC
