Edmonton and Area Métis Week Events Monday, November 13: Alberta Métis Week Events November 13 to 18, 2017 Seventh Annual Louis Riel Commemorative Walk In honour of Louis Riel, the 6.6 km walk to St. Margaret s Church signifies the procession made by Riel s family, community and Métis soldiers to Riel s funeral. The Walk begins at 10:00 am followed by a commemorative service at St. Margaret s Church, located at 51442 Range Road 203, Sherwood Park.
