Presenting the best in Scottish and international arts and entertainment, while showcasing the unique cultural and creative hub that is Glasgow s Merchant City. GO LIVE! at the Green A must visit destination for all the family. This innovative live experience will bring together sport, fitness, health, arts, food and drink as never before and in an engaging and exciting way to encourage people to lead healthy and active lives. George Square Glasgow s iconic George Square will be transformed into a spectacular festival site, through a programme of free events putting Glasgow and Scotland s renowned creativity in the spotlight. The cultural programme will showcase a wide range of performances from local, national and international artists. Join in with the carnival atmosphere, catch live sport on our big screen and enjoy some delicious Scottish food and drink. George Square is set to welcome citizens and visitors alike to experience a truly magnificent day out.

Before You Leave Home Be prepared To enter George Square, you will pass through security screening, which will include a bag search and pat down. Items such as bags in excess of 25 litres, commercial photography equipment, noise-making instruments, glass containers, bulk food, balls, inflatable items and alcoholic beverages are not allowed in any of our venues. A full list of prohibited and restricted items is available at glasgow2018.com/ georgesquare Make sure you check the full list before you arrive at the venue. Plan your journey Keep up to date with travel information at getreadyglasgow.com Don t forget your tickets Most Festival 2018 events are unticketed but if not, remember to keep your tickets with you at all times. Make sure your mobile phone is fully charged to allow you to show your e-tickets. Should you have any issues with your tickets before the event, contact your point of sale. Avoid bags For faster access to George Square, don t bring bags. If it s essential, bags should be no more than 25 litres in size and limited to one per person. Bags will be searched upon entry. Remember, there are no cloakrooms or storage facilities available at the venue. There will also be some restrictions on items such as flags and poles, which can t be over 1mx2m. 4

Dog spending Located on the north east corner of George Square. Only assistance dogs are allowed at the venue. Lost and found items All found items can be collected from the information point during operating hours. Following completion of the Championships, any unclaimed items will be transferred to Police Scotland. Contact them on 101 for further information. Travel Information George Square and Merchant City Festival are well served by trains, buses and the Subway from Glasgow city centre with a short walking distance to both venues. In order to experience a positive journey, we encourage you to follow the advice shown. Road closures There will be road closures across Glasgow and, in particular, George Square and in Merchant City. For further information visit getreadyglasgow.com Cycle parking Existing cycle parking is available at George Square and the Merchant City subject to availability. Parking There is no visitor parking available but commercial car parks are located nearby. Train Glasgow Central, Queen Street, Argyle Street and High Street train stations are all relatively close to George Square and the Merchant City. Walking route George Square and the Merchant City Festival are in the heart of Glasgow city centre and it is a short walk between the two sites. Bus Many buses stop close to George Square and the Merchant City. Subway St Enoch and Buchanan Street stations are well served from Glasgow s West End and south side. 10
