Tourism Activities Representative of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Thailand will report the results of the Tourism Seminar organized on 20 August 2014 and the Excursions on 19 August 2014 to the SOM. - Comments by UNWTO representative Mr. Carlos Vogeler, Director- Executive Secretary for Member Relations and Director of Regional Programme for the Americas, World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) as the Keynote Speaker of the Tourism Seminar may offer some comments. b. FEALAC Business Forum Representative of the Joint Standing Committee on Commerce, Industry and Banking of Thailand will report the results of the Second FEALAC Business Forum held on 20 August 2014 to the SOM. c. FEALAC Academic/STI Roundtable Representative of the Office of the Higher Education Commission of Thailand will report the results of the FEALAC Academic/STI Roundtable organized on 20 August 2014 and the visit to the Thai University on 21 August 2014 to the SOM. 5. Discussion on Improvement of Work Process and the Strengthening of Cyber Secretariat Thailand may lead the discussion on the Improvement of the Work Process and the Strengthening of Cyber Secretariat. 6. Review and Implementation of Bi-Regional and Other FEALAC Projects a. FEALAC University Network Brazil may report the progress of the project of FEALAC University Network to the SOM. Discussion on the implementation of the project will follow. b. Establishment of a Bi-Regional Development Center for SMEs Ecuador may report the progress of the project of the Establishment of a Bi-Regional Development Center for SMEs to the SOM. Discussion on the implementation of the project will follow. c. Proposal of New Bi-Regional Project(s) The floor will be open for discussion on proposal of new bi-regional project(s). d. Other Project(s) The floor will be open for discussion on other project(s).

Remarks/Presentation of ESCAP (TBC} Representative of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) will speak about regional development in East Asia. c. Exchange of Views of Member Countries The floor will be open for views and information sharing on regional development in East Asia and Latin America. 8. How to Better Connect FEALAC Countries to Better Reflect Dynamism of the Two Regions a. Remarks/Presentation of lob (TBC} Representative of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) will speak about the role of the IDB in the development of Latin America and how the IDB could contribute to connect Latin America with East Asia. b. Remarks/Presentation of ADB Mr. Yasushi Negishi, Country Director, Thailand Resident Mission, Asian Development Bank (ADB) will speak about the role of the ADB in the development of East Asia and how the ADB could contribute to connect East Asia with Latin America. c. Exchange of Views of Member Countries The floor will be open for views and recommendations on how to better connect East Asia with Latin America. 9. Schedule for Future FEALAC Meetings Costa Rica may inform the SOM about the schedule for the SOM XVI and the FMM VII in 2015. Republic of Korea may inform the SOM about the schedule for the Cyber Secretariat Workshop in 2015.

The Second FEALAC Business Forum Bangkok 20 August 20 14 The Forum for East Asia-Latin America Cooperation (FEALAC) is an association of 36 countries from East Asia and Latin America that came together for the first time to form an official and regular dialogue channel between the two regions. FEALAC mainly consists of regular meetings held at three levels: the Foreign Ministers, the Senior Officials and the Working-Level Officials. Thailand is honoured to host the fifteenth FEALAC Senior Officials Meeting (SOM) as well as the four Working Groups Meetings and side events at the Bangkok Convention Center at CentralWorld, Bangkok during 19-22 August 2014. The three side events, namely the Second FEALAC Business Forum, Tourism Seminar, and FEALAC Academic/STI Roundtable, will be organized on 20 August 2014 followed by the Working Group Meetings on 21 August 2014 and SOM on 22 August 2014. The Second FEALAC Business Forum will be co-organized by the Joint Standing Committee on Commerce, Industry and Banking of Thailand and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand under the theme of "Connecting the Two Engines of Global Growth". The main objective is to foster and expand the existing bilateral networks of the Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Banking and Finance Associations, and private businesses among FEALAC member countries. Speakers will be invited to share their knowledge and opinions on the potential of East Asia and Latin America and ways to boost trade and investments between the two regions. The business networking will focus on the sectors of Food & Agro-Industry, Hospitality, Wellness and Healthcare service industry, and Energy. Study visits to business facilities or factories in or nearby Bangkok on a later date may be arranged upon request to Thai business counterparts. This event will be a great opportunity for FEALAC member countries to share expertise, network, and promote trade and investments between the two regions. In addition to the Business Forum, Thailand will also organize a public showcase of FEALAC member countries at the ground floor hallway of the CentralWorld Shopping Complex during 19-21 August 2014.
