TIPS AND BEST PRACTICES ADDITIONAL INFORMATION THAT MAY HELP YOU. Cabela s recommends that you familiarize yourself with all parts and fully assemble your tent before going on your first adventure. It can be easier to assemble a tent with the door facing the wind. Once you have fully assembled the tent, you can turn it to face the way you want and re-stake. Stakes should be placed at a 45 angle with the tops facing away from the center of the tent. If your tent has fabric ties or hooks on top of the tent, secure these to the poles. These are usually the support for an accessory hang point inside the tent. We HIGHLY recommend setting guy lines every time to secure your tent. Guy lines will not only stabilize the tent in windy conditions, they also ensure that the tent will vent properly. When possible, open doors to increase ventilation and reduce condensation, which can form on the inner tent surface. Research the area where you intend to camp. Prepare for any possible weather conditions. Be aware of hazards and emergency protocol. Know the rules and regulations of the area where you intend to camp. Be considerate of other people and wildlife. Remember to clean up and dispose of all waste properly. Leave no trace behind. Always store your tent dry and clean. To clean soiled areas, gently apply nondetergent soap and water. You should set up and inspect your tent annually before using. Ensure that you have all the parts from the provided list. Inspect seams for wear and apply seam sealer if needed. DISASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS Follow all assembly steps in reverse order to disassemble the tent. When disassembling the tent, you should slightly loosen all rain-fly buckles or webbing. You should also loosen window zippers to relieve stress upon next assembly. Fold the rain fly and place it over the tent body. Fold the tent body into thirds or quarters, depending on the tent. The width of the folded tent should roughly match the length of the unassembled poles. For smaller backpack tents, place the pole and stake bag on the short end of the tent. Firmly roll the tent up around the pole bag and place in the carry bag. 4 PLEASE READ THIS MANUAL IN ITS ENTIRETY PRIOR TO USING THIS PRODUCT.
