Outline of Itinerary DAY 1 Thursday 2 nd February 2012 Coach to airport departs from Gordano School at 3:30pm. Check-in at least two hours before departure. Depart Bristol for Berlin Arrive at Berlin Schoenefeld airport. Remember to adjust your watch Check into Meininger Hotel Please remember to familiarise yourself with the fire/emergency exits Check all rooms and report any problems to reception DAY 2 Friday 3 rd February 2012 Morning: Guided walking tour of Berlin Afternoon: Topography of Terror Museum Evening meal at hotel Evening: Bowling DAY 3 Saturday 4 th February 2012 Depart hotel for Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp, Evening meal at hotel Evening: Visit Reichstag DAY 4 Sunday 5 th February 2012 Morning: Resistance Memorial or Museum/ German Historical Museum Afternoon: Bauhaus Museum Evening meal at hotel DAY 5 Monday 6 th February 2012 You may be able to store your luggage at the hotel until later today. Morning: - German Historical Museum or Resistance Memorial Afternoon: Some free time in Berlin 18:30 Meet coach at your accommodation for transfer to the airport. 22:55 Arrive Bristol. Copy of Student Contract History Department Berlin Trip February 2012 Code of Conduct Code of conduct No alcohol to be consumed at any time on the trip (even if over 18 years). No drugs to be consumed at any time on the trip. Pupils are not allowed in any other pupils room but their own. Pupils to be totally respectful of Hotel and other students property and are responsible for any damage caused. Pupils must not leave the Hotel without a member of staff with them. Keep to night time curfew set by teaching staff. Pupils must always be in groups of at least 3. Pupils must be punctual when given times to meet. When walking through the city, pupils must be fully aware and follow staff instructions. To meet Gordano Sixth form normal uniform expectation Likely consequences Parents and Senior Staff at school informed. Staff may remove pupil from further activities. Pupils may be removed from the trip and sent home under parent s expense. Student to see Mr Inman and Mr Lewis as soon as possible on return. Potential of exclusion from school.
