Market Street Washington C.H., Ohio 43160 (740) 335.6170 2018 NEWS 03-05-18 PROTECTION ORDER SERVICE: Sheriff s deputies made contact with a respondent in a protection order. The subject was advised of the guidelines of the order and the consequences of any violations. TRAFFIC CRASH/HITSKIP: Lauren Sells of Hillsboro, OH stated while her vehicle was parked on the lot of Tanger Outlets person unknown struck her vehicle and departed. MENACING: A resident of Leesburg, Oh reported being threatened by a known subject. Criminal prosecution was declined. 03-04-18 CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Sheriff s Deputies responded to a Criminal Damage complaint that occurred on York Rd. A person caused damage to the rear window of a vehicle at the address however the victim declined criminal charges. TRAFFIC CRASH: Sheriff s Deputies responded to a hit skip vehicle crash at the Tanger Outlet Mall. A parked vehicle was stuck by a unknown vehicle that fled the scene. TRAFFIC CRASH: Sheriff s Deputies responded to a single vehicle deer crash that occurred on U.S. Highway 22 near Staunton Jasper Rd. Lisa Borreson of Wilmington, Ohio was traveling west when a deer entered into her path. No injuries and the vehicle was driven from the scene. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Sheriff s Deputies responded to a Domestic Violence complaint that occurred on Railroad St. in Octa, Ohio. Richard Cunningham was placed under arrest and transported to the Fayette County Jail awaiting trial. TRAFFIC CRASH: Sheriff s Deputies responded to a hit skip crash that occurred on Pearl St. A vehicle drove west through the intersection becoming disabled. The driver then fled the scene. The crash is under further investigation. 03-03-18 UNRULY: An unruly juvenile report was made with charges being filed by the guardian.

ATTEMPTED SUICIDE: Sheriff s deputies responded to the Hampton Inn on a welfare check of a female staying at the hotel. Deputies made contact with the female at which time made comments of suicide. Fayette County EMS was summoned to the scene and made transport of the female to a medical facility for treatment. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Michelle Clemans of Jeffersonville reported receiving threats from a family member. Cody E. Smith of Jeffersonville was arrested and charged in the matter. TRAFFIC CRASH: Phillip LeMaster of Washington CH was traveling east on US 35. LeMaster exited US 35 to Palmer Rd traveling off the right side of the roadway striking a parked semi. No injuries were reported. LeMaster was found to be intoxicated at time of crash and was arrested and charged in the matter. FOUND PROPERTY: Wayne Sharron of Dayton, Oh was traveling on SR 435 and located a red wallet in the roadway. The wallet was recovered. ILLEGAL CONVEYANCE OF DRUGS: An officer the Fayette County Jail reported a known person conveyed drugs to the jail. 03-02-18 TRAFFIC CRASH: A two-car motor vehicle crash was reported on Carr Road at the Wendy s entrance. Aaron T. Dean of Jamestown was cited for an Improper Turn. DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: An employee of the Tanger Outlet Mall reported they had located items of drug paraphernalia inside the Food Court. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Deputies were dispatched to the Econolodge on State Route 435 in reference to an assault or possible domestic violence incident. After Deputies made contact with both involved parties it was known that both parties had obvious signs of physical assault. Brad Card of Jeffersonville was arrest for felonious assault and Amie Nelson was arrest for domestic violence. ENDANGERING CHILDREN: An anonymous complaint was made with the sheriff s office in reference to a known person endangering their children. TRAFFIC CRASH: Chelsea Smith of Marion, OH was traveling north on IR 71. Smith exited I- 71 to the north bound rest area and lost control of her vehicle traveling over a curb. Smith continued striking a utility box and tree. Smith refused treatment from EMS. Smith was issued a citation for Failure to Control. DRUG PARAPHERNALIA: Vaughn Martin of Washington CH reported locating a hypodermic syringe. The syringe was collected by deputy for disposal. ASSAULT/THEFT: Patrick Hunter of Washington CH reported during a verbal altercation over a claim of theft he was assaulted by a known subject. PROTECTION ORDER SERVICE: Sheriff s deputies made contact with a respondent serving a protection order. The subject was advised of the guidelines of the order and the consequences of any violations.

PROPERTY DISPUTE: James Hamby of Washington CH stated that a known male who was renting his vehicle refused to return it. 03-01-18 DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Two residents reported a verbal dispute in Jeffersonville. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: A member of the Agape Church reported an unknown person had caused damages to the church lawn. TELEPHONE HARASSMENT: Sheriff s deputies responded to the 1000 Block of Meadow Dr. in reference to a telephone harassment complaint. The investigation is ongoing. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Sheriff s deputies responded to the 400 Block of Peddicord Ave in reference to a domestic violence complaint. Tylar Buchholz of Washington C.H., Ohio was assaulted by Britney Smith of Washington C.H., Ohio. Smith was arrested and charged with domestic violence. FAILURE TO CONFINE DOG: Sheriff s deputies responded to the 9000 Block of West Lancaster Rd in reference to a failure to confine dog complaint. Reports indicate that a dog got off its cable that had the dog tied to the porch and that the dog attached another dog. The dog Warden was noticed of the incident. The investigation is ongoing. 02-28-18 TRAFFIC CRASH: Sheriff s deputies responded STR 734 in reference to a one vehicle traffic crash. Dustin Snyder of Jeffersonville, Ohio was traveling W SR 734 near 2659 when he lost control of his vehicle. Snyder traveled off the right side of the roadway into the ditch striking a sign. No injuries. Snyder was cited for failure to control. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Sheriff s deputies responded to the 3000 Block of US Rte 22 East for a criminal damaging compliant. Unknown person(s) caused damage to her vehicle. MENACING: An employee of the Amerihost Inn in Jeffersonville reported a known person had made menacing comments. PASSING BAD CHECKS: Anthony Amole reported a known person had passed a bad check for services rendered. DISORDERLY CONDUCT BY INTOXICATION: Sheriff s deputies responded to I-71 on reports of a male walking on the interstate. Deputies made contact at which time the subject appeared to be intoxicated. Carl Huggins was arrested and charged in the matter. TRAFFIC CRASH: Mark Snider of Washington CH reported while traveling on Camp Grove Road near Braden Road Snider had struck a deer. PROTECTION ORER SERVICE: A respondent was served a protection order. THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE: Carey Prater of Sabina reported a known person had taken his motor vehicle without his permission. The vehicle was later recovered. THEFT: Cody Pierce of Bloomingburg reported a theft occurred at Midway Sunoco.

02-27-18 PUBLIC GAMING: Sheriff s deputies responded to Loves truck Stop for a gambling complaint. Several male subjects were going around the parking lot having truck drivers engage in gambling. The male subjects were gone upon arrival. TRAFFIC CRASH: A two-car motor vehicle crash was reported on I-71 near the # 62 mile post. David W. Evans of Cincinnati was cited for Failure to Control. PASSING BAD CHECK: David Munyon of Washington CH reports receiving a bad check from known subject. TRAFFIC CRASH: Jackie Chord of Paris, IL was traveling south on IR 71 and exited to SR 41. Chord made a left turn onto SR 41 striking a vehicle that was stopped. Chord was issued a citation for Improper Turn. TRAFFIC CRASH: Brice Sparks of Logan, OH was traveling south on Inskeep Rd and lost control of his vehicle negotiating a right curve. Sparks traveled off the left side of the roadway coming to rest in a field. No injuries were reported. Sparks was issued a citation for Failure to Control. THEFT: Kathy Montgomery of Greenfield reported sometime within the past three days an unknown person had stolen her gold Chevrolet Cavalier. UNAUTHORIZED USE OF MOTOR VEHICLE: Kevin Williams of Washington CH reported a known person took his car without his permission. The vehicle was later returned. 02-26-18 THEFT: Sheriff s deputies responded to the 4000 Block of West Fork Rd on a theft complaint. Known person(s) reportedly stole several items from the home. TRAFFIC CRASH-Sheriff s deputies responded to US RTE 35 Eastbound near the 23 Mile Post for a single vehicle traffic crash. Donald Larison of Martinsville, IN was traveling East on US Rte 35 when he lost control of his vehicle. Larison s vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway into the medium then down into a ditch coming to rest. No injuries. Larison was cited for failure to control CRUELTY TO ANIMALS: Sheriff s deputies responded to Old Charleston Rd near Barger Rd for a cruelty to animal complaint. It was reported that an animal had been cut open and left on the side of the roadway. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Two family members reported a verbal dispute. No threats or assault. TELEPHONE HARASSMENT: A Jeffersonville resident reported receiving several unwanted text messages from a known person. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to Grace St on a domestic incident. Upon arrival all parties involved were identified and it was determined that no assault or threats of violence had occurred. ATTEMPTED BREAKING & ENTERING: Leading Edge Technologies reported person(s) unknown attempted entry into the business sometime overnight.

PUBLIC INTOXICAITON: Deputies responded to the area of Flagway 11 located at 1129 US 22 reference an intoxicated person in the area. Upon arrival a male identified as Richard Smith, age 55 of Washington CH was located walking on US 22 and was barely able to stand. Upon investigation it was determined Richard Smith was intoxicated and unable to care for himself. Richard Smith was arrested for Public intoxication and transported to the Fayette County Jail. THEFT: Sheriff s Deputies responded to a theft complaint that occurred at the Midway Mini Mart. Rodger Ferguson entered the business and removed property. A warrant was issued for his arrest and he is currently being held in the Fayette County Jail on bond. 02-25-18 TRAFFIC CRASH/HIT SKIP: Person unknown was traveling north on Factory Shops Bl. The driver made a left turn into the KFC lot failing to yield for a vehicle traveling south on Factory Shops Bl causing a collision. The vehicle departed the scene. THEFT: Destinee Berlin of Washington CH reported person(s) unknown removed a the temporary tag from her vehicle. BREAKING & ENTERING/THEFT: James Brown of Washington CH reported person(s) unknown entered onto his property and removed a vehicle registration from his vehicle. TRAFFIC CRASH: Brian Hamm of Sedalia, OH was traveling east on SR 729 and lost control of his vehicle while negotiating a left curve. Hamm traveled off the left side of the roadway into the ditch striking a tree. No injuries were reported. Hamm was issued a citation for Failure to Control. DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Sheriff s deputies responded to Joanne Dr multiple times on a noise complaint. Bryan Barton of Washington CH criminally charged in the matter. 02-24-18 TRAFFIC CRASH: Devin Black of Jamestown, OH was traveling west on US 35 and lost control of his vehicle. Black traveled off the left side of the roadway coming to rest in the median. No injuries were reported. Black was issued a citation for Failure to Control. BURGLARY/THEFT: Phyllis Fannin of Jeffersonville reported person(s) unknown entered her residence and removed property from inside. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s Deputies responded to a report of an Domestic Dispute on Locust Grove Rd. It was reported as a verbal only dispute with no threats or physical assault. The female willingly departed the residence for the evening. TRAFFIC CRASH: Sheriff s Deputies responded to a Traffic Crash that occurred on U.S. Route 35 east. Shaun Rodgers of Fairborn, Ohio was traveling east bound when he lost control traveling off the right side of the roadway into the median striking a storm drain. Rodgers was cited for Failure to Control. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s Deputies Responded to Clyburn Ave. on a report of Domestic Dispute. No threats or assault were reported. TRAFFIC CRASH: Sheriff s Deputies Responded to a Traffic Crash on Harold Rd. near State Route 729 in Jefferson Township. Mike Dolinskas of Jeffersonville, Ohio was traveling east on

State Route 729 when he traveled off the left side of the roadway striking a Tree. The driver was cited for OVI, Driving Under Suspension, Failure to Control, and Left of Center. The vehicle was towed from the scene. TRAFFIC CRASH: A single-car motor vehicle crash was reported on Wayne and Biddle Blvd. in Bloomingburg. Logan Graham of Bloomingburg was cited for Failure to Control. 02-23-18 TRAFFIC CRASH: Sheriff s Deputies responded to a Traffic Crash that occurred on State Route 753 at U.S. Route 35 in Union Township. James Aldridge of Washington C.H., Ohio was traveling west bound when he failed to yield to a vehicle at the intersection striking the other vehicle. Minor damage was reported on both vehicles. Aldriedge was cited for Failure to yield at stop sign. TRAFFIC CRASH: A one vehicle crash occurred in the 2400 Block of St Rt 38. A juvenile driver was issued a citation for Failure to Control. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to Woodsview Sq on a domestic incident. Upon arrival all parties involved were identified and it was determined that no assault or threats of violence had occurred. 02/22/2018 TRAFFIC CRASH: A one vehicle crash occurred on St Rt 435 at Garringer Edgefield. Paige Shank of Louisville, KY was issued a citation for Illegally Crossing a Divided Highway. ASSAULT: Joshua T. Wilson of Washington CH reported while incarcerated in the Fayette County Jail he was assaulted by another inmate. Prosecution was declined. TELEPHONE HARASSMENT: Holly A. Griggs of Washington CH reported she had received several unwanted Facebook messages from a known person. David Craig Wilson of Mount Sterling was charged in the offense. CRIMINAL DAMAGIN: Andrew W. Nance of Urbana reported an unknown person had damaged his motor vehicle while staying at the Fairfield Inn. TRAFFIC CRASH: A single-car motor vehicle crash was reported near 1788 Old Chillicothe Road. Jose Angel Noa Perez of Miami, Florida was cited for Failure to Obey a Traffic Control Device. TRAFFIC CRASH: BJ Burns of Washington CH was traveling southbound on West Lancaster Rd at the State Route 435 intersection. Known female juvenile driver was traveling eastbound on State Route 435 approaching West Lancaster Rd. BJ Burns failed to yield at the stop sign and enter the intersection. BJ Burns was struck by the juvenile female driver. The Fayette County Sheriff s Response Team, Jefferson Township Fire Department, and the Fayette County Ems responded to the scene. Injured occupants were transported to an area hospital for minor injuries. BJ Burns was issued a citation for failure to yield at a stop sign. TRAFFIC CRASH: Craig Hitchcock of Killbuck Oh was traveling southbound on the I-71 exit ramp to State Route 435 and stopped at the traffic light. Hitchcock pulled past the stop bar and began to back up in the roadway failing to observe a vehicle behind him. Brandon Voss of Lancaster Oh was stopped at the light behind Hitchcock who then backed into the Voss vehicle

causing minor damage. Hitchcock was issued a citation for improper backing. No injuries were reported. 02-22-18 DISORDERLY CONDUCT BY INTOXICATION: While on routine patrol, a male was observed lying on the ground near an intersection. After contact, the male, identified as Dustin Morris was found to be under the influence and unable to care for himself. Morris was arrested for disorderly conduct by intoxication. TRAFFIC CRASH: A single-car motor vehicle crash was reported on I-71 neat the # 65 mile post. John C. Wilson of Vale, North Carolina was cited for Failure to Control. THEFT: Kristin N. Kovach of Jeffersonville reported a known person had taken her cellular telephone from her residence. UNRULY: Units responded to a reported unruly child complaint. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Sheriff s deputies responded to Woodsview Square in Jeffersonville in reference to a domestic dispute. Two females got into an argument without either person being verbally or physically assaulted. THEFT: Sheriff s deputies responded to GAP at the Outlet Mall in reference to a theft complaint. Three unknown females came into the business and departed without paying for the items. The investigation is ongoing. ILLEGAL CONVEYANCE OF DRUGS: Sheriff s deputies responded to the Fayette County Jail in reference to contraband brought into the Jail. While inmate Heather Winters was being changed out, a baggie containing an unknown white substance was found. The investigation is ongoing. VIOLATION OF PROTECTION ORDER: Sheriff s deputies responded to the Fayette County Sheriff Office in reference to a protection order violation. Reports indicate that Anthony Blanton of New Holland, Ohio violated the terms of a protection order several times. Blanton was charged with 4 counts of violation of protection order. 02-21-18 PHYSICAL CONTROL OF MOTOR VEHICLE: While routine patrol a disabled vehicle in the roadway was found on State Route 729. After contact with the driver Douglas Stuckey of Washington CH, he was found to be under the influence of something. Stuckey was arrested for physical control of a motor vehicle while under the influence. UNRULY: Amanda D. McQuiller of Jeffersonville reported a child was unruly within her home. THEFT: Sheriff s deputies responded to the 13000 Block of SR 38 on a theft complaint. A known male subject came into their business and departed without paying for items. The investigation is ongoing. TELEPHONE HARASSMENT: Sheriff s deputies responded to 93 Biddle Blvd in Bloomingburg in reference to a telephone harassment complaint. Donald Eddleman of Bloomingburg, Ohio has been receiving harassing text messages and phone calls from 2 known males. He declined charges at this time.

2-20-18 TELEPHONE HARASSMENT: Sheriff s deputies responded to the 3000 Block of US Rte 22 East in reference to a telephone harassment complaint. David Craig Wilson was arrested on a warrant. CRIMINAL DAMAGING;THEFT;MISUSE OF CREDIT CARD: Shantell M. Joseph of Bowersville reported persons unknown forced entry into her motor vehicle, taking her purse, and used her credit card at a nearby business. CRIMINAL DAMAGIN; THEFT: Terra Currence-Hass of Cuyahoga Falls reported persons unknown forced entry into her motor vehicle, taking her satchel. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Kevin H. Axline of Jeffersonville reported he was involved in a verbal dispute with a household member. Axline was arrested on an unrelated outstanding warrant. DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Sheriff s deputies responded to Interstate 71 near the 66 Mile Post for a vehicle crash. Megan Six of Columbus, Ohio was traveling Southbound on Interstate 71 near the 66 mile Post when she lost control of her vehicle. Six s vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway into the median crossing both lanes of Northbound traffic before coming to rest on the right side of the road on the Northbound side. Her vehicle crossed the Northbound lane of travel which caused another vehicle being driven by Alexis Fye of Columbus, Ohio to swerve left then go into the median to keep from hitting Six as she crossed both Northbound lanes. Upon arrival all parties involved were identified and it was determined that no assault or threats of violence had occurred. Illegal Conveyance: Deputies responded to the Fayette County Jail to the report of suspected narcotics being located in the jail. Upon investigation it was determined an inmate was brought to the jail and upon being searched during processing narcotics was located in the front of his pants.
