January 1, 2018 Dear Webelos Den Leader(s): This year s District is just a few months away. Mark your calendars now and plan to participate in this great event. It will be held at Camp Rokilio Kiel during the weekend May 4th through May 6 th, 2018. This cost per person is $30.00. No registration after April 27 th, 2018 will accepted. The activities planned for Saturday will stress Scout Skills, and authentic Rendezvous and Native American ceremonies. To make this event a success, we need your 4 th grade Webelos Den s participation. Thank you for your continuing participation in the District. We look forward to seeing you out there! GENERAL INFORMATION TYPE OF EVENT WHO CAN ATTEND DEN CHIEFS The Rendezvous will feature opportunities to have fun, provide a glimpse of Boy Scouting, and to have a quality outdoors experience. All registered 4 th grade Webelos, their parents, Den leaders and Pack leaders may attend. Other family members are NOT permitted to attend. Only Den Chiefs working with a 4 th grade den may attend and only with their den. CHECK-IN Located at the Program Center. Between 5:00 8:00 pm on Friday. It is suggested you arrive as soon as possible and check-in before dark. PARKING Parking is limited. Please carpool if at all possible. All vehicles must be unloaded and then moved to the parking areas. Park all motorized vehicles in designated areas ONLY. CAMPSITES FIRES FIREWOOD WATER GARBAGE DISPOSAL LATRINES Sites will be assigned on a first come basis. You will be sharing a site with other dens. Each campsite should have a minimum of 2 adults. ALL fires must be built in the established fire rings. Make sure the fire is dead out before leaving your campsite. Firewood is available, DO NOT cut standing trees. Water is available in all campsites. Bring a water container. Each den should bring plastic trash bags. At the end of the Rendezvous, the garbage must be taken home with you. Pit toilets are available in the camping area. Each den should bring a roll of toilet paper (just in case).

FIRST AID CAMPFIRE QUIET TIME MEALS All first aid cases must be handled and recorded at the health office. Major injuries will be treated in town. (EVERYONE MUST BRING A HEALTH FORM FOR THIS EVENT. Class 1 health history form). The Saturday night campfire and Blessing of the Arrow ceremony is from 7:15 9:30 pm. Families are encouraged to attend. Please arrive by 6:45 pm to attend the ceremony. Quiet time is 10:00 pm to 7:00 am in the campsites. Do not use radios, CD players, or video games at any time during the Rendezvous. Only Saturday lunch and supper are provided. The meals are for paid participants only and will be served in the Dining Hall. Dens must provide their own Friday supper and breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. BEVERAGES FEES WORSHIP SERVICE Water will be available all weekend in your campsite and throughout camp. Keep your cup with you and drink plenty of water. Beverages will be provided for lunch and supper. Coffee will available after the Flag Ceremony, Saturday (FOR ADULTS ONLY) at Dining Hall. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited on Scout Camp property. There is a $30.00 per person fee. This will cover camp rental fee, patch, 2 meals, liability insurance, and many surprises for Webelos and Adults. You must be registered by April 27, 2018. No later. A Scout is Reverent : Chapel service in Dining Hall, Saturday 4:45 pm. All participants are expected to attend. Please plan your meals for the weekend and bring a cooler to keep them in. Den Equipment: Propane or charcoal stove Cook kit (pots, pans, eating utensils) Water jug & dish washing supplies Tent Lantern Garbage Bags Cart or Wagon to haul your gear to the campsite Folding table for meals Coffee for breakfast meals (Adults) EQUIPMENT LIST Individual Equipment: Sleeping bag, pad, and ground cloth Rain gear / Coat Extra clothes Extra shoes Personal hygiene items & towel Flashlight (Don t forget extra batteries!) If the temperature is cool overnight, an air mattress is not recommended. Food & snacks (Sat. & Sun. breakfast) Please bring a lawn chair for Saturday night. THERE WILL BE COFFEE AVAILABLE AT THE DINING HALL ON SATURDAY AFTER FLAG OPENING CEREMONY. THERE WILL BE NO COFFEE AVAILABLE ON SUNDAY MORNING!
