Bath College Bath and North East Somerset Construction Skills Centre 2.7 Delivery of a construction skills training centre to support a full range of construction disciplines and trades at the Norton Radstock campus which sees the site becoming a specialist skills hub focussed on construction and engineering. & EDF North Somerset Council West Wick Roundabout & North South Link 10.2 West Wick Roundabout capacity improvements at this junction on the A370 in Weston-super-Mare will maintain reliable journey times on this strategic route into and within the J21 Enterprise Area. The North South Link is the main access route required to unlock development areas at Parklands village., EDF & RIF Aztec West Roundabout 4.5 Widening of the roundabout and provision of associated pedestrian and cycle crossing facilities to provide additional capacity on one of the main routes serving the Cribbs Patchway New Neighbourhood and Filton Enterprise Area. Bath & North East Somerset Council Bath Innovation 10.0 Grow on/accelerator space as part of wider Bath Quays project together with public realm and other infrastructure to enable delivery. Destination Bristol Bristol and Bath Cultural Destinations Media Bank 0.1 A key infrastructural asset for the Cultural sector - a Media Bank to support the work of the Bristol & Bath Cultural Destinations Project. University of West of England Health Technology Hub 1.3 Refurbishment of a 900m2 facility on the University of West of England Frenchay Campus, to provide a research and innovation centre for the advancement of Independent Living and Citizen-Centric Health, focussed on business support and business/academic/healthcare interactions. North Somerset Council Town Square, Weston-super-Mare 2.5 Create a public space and provide connections from the seafront to High Street and University Centre campuses. The objective is to improve connectivity both physically and visually and upgrade the quality of the space. National Composites Centre NTProStruct 3.9 Purchase capital equipment at the NCC to develop advanced manufacturing technologies for major components used in aerospace, automotive and other sectors. Bath & North East Somerset Council Bath Quays Bridge 1.0 A new pedestrian and cycle footbridge over River Avon connecting Bath Quays North and South, as well as further enhancing the connectivity of Bath to its river through the Quays Waterside project. Bristol City Council West of England Sustainable Transport Package 17/18 4.6 The programme focusses on improving walking and cycling links, giving greater priority to public transport and creating high quality public spaces that will encourage retail and tourism activity. It also aims to alleviate local pinch points that exist on the transport network. Bristol City Council Portway Station 0.5 Provision of a new un-manned single platform rail station adjacent the existing Portway Park and ride site on the Severn Beach Line. British Engineering Manufacturers Association Increasing the Capacity of the BEMA Training Centre 0.1 An expansion of the existing BEMA Machine Shop, located in Yate, to respond to unmet learner and employer demand for apprenticeship provision. Weston College Construction Skills Training Centre 3.3 The creation of a highly industry-focused Infrastructure Construction Skills Centre to address the shortage of infrastructure construction and civils skills training in the WE LEP area in response to employer demand. Weston College Health and Active Living Skills Centre 5.4 A training centre blending skills for health and social care with the wider health prevention and condition management agenda, delivered in one building and benefitting from existing facilities already on-site at the University Campus. Bath University Institute of Advanced Automotive Propulsion Systems (IAAPS) 10.0 A world-leading centre of excellence, for research and innovation into future advanced propulsion systems. Open to universities and businesses, it would be the catalyst to develop future generations of ultra-low emission vehicles. Bristol Music Trust Colston Hall Phase 2 Transformation Project 5.0 A project which would transform existing dilapidated facilities, into a modern, sustainable, music and learning centre, allowing the hall to become a world-class entertainment venue of national significance. Watershed Arts Truist Limited Bristol Virtual Reality Lab 0.3 A new facility for the development of skills, content and applications in Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) establishing a new WoE innovation cluster around emerging immersive technologies. Science Research Foundation (University of Bristol) Bristol SETsquared 0.1 The project will deliver an increase in capacity for SETsquared to deliver business support and incubation to startups and scale-ups across the city region. North Somerset Council Weston Super Mare Town Centre Transport Enhancement Scheme 1.5 Improvements to public transport and cycling provision including the creation of a bus interchange. Pipeline High Value Design Innovation Centre Pipeline Project The High Value Design Innovation Centre building is at the centre of a 20-year masterplan for the redevelopment of the Filton Airfield. The HVD building, will be a national focal point for aerospace engineering research and development in the UK, providing professionals, engineers and the public with with places to meet and socialise and collaborate. EDF Bristol City Council The Bristol Arena 53.0 Design and delivery of a multipurpose indoor entertainment arena, to be located on the former diesel depot site (Arena Island) adjacent to Temple Meads railway station in central Bristol. EDF Bath & North East Somerset Council Park & Ride East of Bath/Park & Ride Phase 2 / A4 Bus Lane 12.5 New Park & Ride provision and bus priority to improve accessibility to Bath city centre and the Enterprise Area. EDF & North Somerset Council North Somerset Enterprise Technical College 3.7 Funding for specialist equipment and fit-out required to meet the business/vocational aspirations of the scheme and for construction of the Motor Sports Centre. EDF & Aerospace Bristol (formerly Bristol Aerospace Centre) 1.7 Construction of an aerospace industrial heritage museum and learning centre, with a new building for Concorde, at the Filton Enterprise Area to showcase Bristol s innovation, design and engineering at an international level. EDF & RIF A38/A4174 Widening Works & Gypsy Patch Lane 2.2 Package of transport schemes on the A38 supporting access to Cribbs Patchway New Neighbourhood and Filton Enterprise Area. EDF MetroBus Extension to Cribbs Causeway 34.0 Extension of MetroBus services to run between The Mall and Bristol Parkway via the Cribbs Patchway New Neihbourhood and Filton Enterprise Area. EDF Avonmouth Severnside Ecology & Flood Development Costs 1.9 Phase 1 design and development works of the Avonmouth Severnside Flooding and Ecology works. EDF Avonmouth Severnside Enterprise Area Flood Defences 60.0 Flood defence works (coastal and fluvial) along Avonmouth Docks to protect development sites within the area. EDF Avonmouth Severnside Enterprise Area Ecology Mitigation 5.8 To create a series of wetland reserves within the industrial landscape of Avonmouth Severnside surrounding the villages of Severn Beach and Pilning, in order to provide high tide roosts for European waterfowl for which the Severn Estuary is designated as a European Special Protection Area (SPA) Site. EDF Bromley Heath Viaduct Maintenance and Improvement Programme 2.8 The structural repairs and upgrading for safety, pedestrian and cycling provision on the viaduct on the A4174. The EDF funding will shorten the duration of the works from 52 weeks down to 33 weeks, reducing congestion and diversion impacts EDF Bristol City Council Invest in Bristol and Bath 5.0 EDF Bristol City Council Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone Programme Team 2.5 EDF Bath & North East Somerset Council Bath Quays Phase 1a (South) 6.2 A five year funding package to maintain a strong investment promotion service for the LEP area that creates jobs by attracting new businesses and private sector investment. Co-funding with delivery partners of a programme team to support the accelerated delivery and ensure early collaboration and a joint vision for the Bristol Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone. A project to deliver enabling infrastructure, development of over 50,000 ft2 of new offices, some 40,000 ft2 of Creative Workspace with some retail on the south side of the river at Bath Quays.
