PAGE 2 VOLUME 1, ISSUE 1 Artist Interview with Charlie Daniels Introduction: Charles Edward Daniels (born October 28, 1936) is an American multiinstrumentalist, lyricist, and singer, known for his contributions to country, bluegrass, and Southern rock music. He is perhaps best known for his number-one country hit "The Devil Went Down to Georgia". Daniels has been active as a singer and musician since the 1950s. Today, he's here to do an interview with us. Carl: You'll be in Nashville on March 7th. What are you looking forward to the most? Charlie: Well, Nashville is always a great time for me so I'm expecting the same. Carl: You're also known as a phenomenal fiddle player how did you get so good? Charlie: Well some things you have to work for and sometimes you're just a prodigy. It just kind of came natural to me. Interview: Carl: So you told taco bell that the illuminati was nothing to mess with? Charlie: Well that s nothing to joke about, those people are really practicing what they're preaching. Carl: Arguably your most popular song "Devil Went Down to Georgia" has a lot of references about the devil in it. The illuminati allegedly have devil worshiping rules. Is your song in any way related to these allegations? Charlie: No. It is not really just a good ole bluegrass song.
