CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS 1. I-95 from the Golden Glades Interchange in Miami-Dade County to Broward Boulevard in Broward County Up to three northbound lanes of I-95 from the Golden Glades Interchange in Miami-Dade County, to Sunrise Boulevard in Broward County will be closed Sunday night through Thursday night between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. and from 11 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday. At least two lanes will remain open at all times. Entrance and exit ramps will be closed as needed in the work zone. Detours will be clearly marked and electronic signs will advise drivers in advance. Up to three southbound lanes on I-95 from Sunrise Boulevard in Broward County to the Golden Glades Interchange in Miami-Dade County will be closed Sunday night through Thursday night between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. and from 11 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday. Description: This project will extend the High Occupancy Toll Express lanes from northern Miami-Dade County north 13 miles to Fort Lauderdale. The project includes installing Intelligent Transportation System components; modifying the Ives Dairy Road interchange; bridge widening at specific locations and installing new noise barrier walls at locations between Hollywood Boulevard and Taft Street. Cost/Completion: The construction cost is $112 million. Completion is expected April 2015. 2. I-75 from NW 170 th Street in Miami-Dade County to I-595 in Broward County One northbound lane of I-75 from north of Royal Palm Beach Boulevard to south of Indian Trace will be closed Monday night between 9 p.m. and 4 a.m. The right turn lane of State Road 84 at Poinciana Way will be closed Friday, March 20 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. for sound wall construction. Northbound and southbound shoulders of I-75 from south of Sheridan Street to north of Griffin Road may be closed Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. for median work. One eastbound lane of Sheridan Street west of I-75 will be closed Monday through Friday between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. to clear trees in the median. One eastbound lane of Sheridan Street east of I-75 will be closed Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. to clear trees in the median. One westbound lane of Sheridan Street west of I-75 will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. to clear trees in the median. One westbound land of Sheridan Street east of I-75 will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. to clear trees in the median. All southbound lanes of I-75 north of Miramar Parkway will be closed Monday night between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. Motorists will be directed to detour at the Miramar Parkway West (Exit 7B) exit ramp, cross over Miramar Parkway and re-enter I-75 southbound using the Miramar Parkway entrance ramp. If necessary to finish the work, the southbound lanes of I-75 will also be closed Tuesday night and Wednesday night between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. One northbound lane of I-75 from south of Miramar Parkway to Miramar Parkway may be closed Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. for bridge construction. One northbound lane of I-75 from north of Miramar Parkway to Pines Boulevard may be closed Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. for bridge construction. One southbound lane of I-75 from north of Pines Boulevard to north of Miramar Parkway may be closed Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. for bridge construction. One southbound lane of I-75 from north of Miramar Parkway to Miramar Parkway may be closed Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. for bridge construction. Two northbound lanes of I-75 from south of Miramar Parkway to Miramar Parkway may be closed Monday night through Thursday night between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. Two southbound lanes of I-75 from north of Miramar Parkway to Miramar Parkway may be closed Monday night through Thursday night between 9 p.m.

and 6 a.m. Description: This 15-mile project will add four tolled managed lanes in the I-75 median from NW 170 th Street in northern Miami-Dade County to I-595 in Broward County. The work will be completed in four segments to minimize the impact to the public. This project includes entrance and exit access points to the express lanes; a bridge with a direct connection to 595 Express; integrated Intelligent Transportation System and tolling components; noise barrier walls at various locations and new signage, lighting, drainage and landscaping improvements. Cost/Completion: Construction cost is $536 million. Completion is expected in late 2018. 3. Eller Drive east of the I-595/US 1 interchange at Port Everglades Intermittent lanes may be closed in either direction within the project limits Monday through Friday at all times. One eastbound lane of I-595 entering Port Everglades will be closed as needed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. One eastbound lane of I-595 entering Port Everglades will be closed as needed Monday night through Thursday night between 6:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. Description: A new overpass is being built over Eller Drive and the Port Everglades Railroad. The project includes reconstruction of several ramps in the I-595/US 1/Eller Drive interchange, reconstruction of the Eller Drive intersections at NE 7 th Avenue, NE 14 th Avenue and McIntosh Road, installation of new railroad tracks and crossing signals, drainage retention ponds, moving utilities out of the construction path, concrete pavement roadway construction, highway lighting system, landscaping and irrigation. Cost/Completion: $42.5 million. Completion in early 2015. 4. Bridges of the Isles and Sunrise Key Bridges Replacement in Fort Lauderdale One lane of the Fiesta Way Bridge is closed through mid-2015. Traffic signals and flaggers will assist motorists through the work zone. One lane of the Nurmi Drive Bridge is closed through mid-2015. Traffic signals and flaggers will assist motorists through the work zone. One lane of the Sunrise Key Boulevard Bridge is closed through fall 2015. Traffic signals and flaggers will assist motorists through the work zone. The westbound right lane of Las Olas Boulevard from Nurmi Drive to Fiesta Way is closed through Friday, April 17. All lanes will be open for the following special events: St. Patrick s Day Shamrock Run on Saturday, March 14; Las Olas International Triathlon on Sunday, March 15. Eastbound traffic on Las Olas Boulevard from Isle of Venice to Royal Palm Drive will be shifted into one lane on the westbound side of the roadway Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. for utility work. Flaggers will be at each end of the traffic shift and at cross streets to assist motorists through the work zone. Description: Project improvements include the demolition and replacement of the five low level bridges off Las Olas Boulevard to Royal Palm Drive, Nurmi Drive, Fiesta Way and Isle of Venice and the low level Sunrise Key Bridge off NE 6th Court. Cost/Completion: $8 million. Completion in early 2016. 5. I-95 Bridge Painting and Rehabilitation over the South Fork of the New River in Fort Lauderdale

All lanes are open through March 20. Description: Project improvements include the repair, rehabilitation and painting of the three I-95 bridges over the South Fork of the New River. Cost/Completion: $18 million. Completion in early 2015. 6. Kingfisher Waterway Bridge Replacement in Lighthouse Point All lanes are open through March 20. Description: Project improvements include replacing the bridge over Kingfisher Waterway, installing new drainage, upgrading curb and ramps to ADA requirements, and constructing and repairing sidewalks. Cost/Completion: $1.2 million. Completion in spring 2015. 7. CSX Bridge Replacement over the South Fork of the New River in Fort Lauderdale Outside shoulder of the westbound I-595 exit ramp to northbound I-95 is closed through October 2015. Description: Project improvements include replacing the existing South Florida Rail Corridor CSX Railroad rolling lift bridge just west of I-95 over the south fork of the New River in Fort Lauderdale. Cost/Completion: $22 million. Completion in summer 2016. 8. Andrews Avenue Extension Reconstruction in Pompano Beach One lane in each direction of Andrews Avenue from NW 18 th Street to Park Central Boulevard will be closed intermittently Monday, March 16 through Sunday, March 22 between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. One lane in each direction of Copans Road from NW 15 th Avenue to the CSX Railway will be closed intermittently Monday, March 16 through Sunday, March 22 between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. One lane in each direction of Copans Road from NW 15 th Avenue to the CSX Railway will be closed Friday night, March 13 and Saturday night, March 14 between 11 p.m. and 9 a.m. One lane in each direction of Copans Road from NW 15 th Avenue to the CSX Railway will be closed Sunday night, March 15 through Thursday night, March 19 between 9 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Description: Project improvements include reconstructing Andrews Avenue Extension from NW 18th Street to north of Copans Road, widening and repaving Andrews Avenue Extension within the project limits, changing roadway access on Andrews Avenue Extension, restriping Andrews Avenue Extension within the project limits, installing new overhead signal arms, installing new drainage, upgrading curb and ramps to ADA requirements, constructing and repairing sidewalks, installing new lighting, installing new signals at intersections within the project limits, and installing new signs. Cost/Completion: $6.6 million. Completion in fall 2015. 9. Sunrise Boulevard Bridge over the Middle River

The sidewalk along both sides of the Sunrise Boulevard Middle River Bridge from NE 20 th Avenue to Middle River Drive is closed through summer 2015. Pedestrians can use the sidewalk along the north side of the temporary bridge. One of the two left turn lanes from northbound Middle River Drive to westbound Sunrise Boulevard is closed through early 2016. One westbound lane of Sunrise Boulevard from Middle River Drive to NE 20 th Avenue is closed through early 2016. Two lanes are open for westbound traffic on the temporary bridge for the duration of the construction project. Left turns from westbound Sunrise Boulevard to southbound NE 20 th Avenue are permitted from the left westbound through lane through early 2015. One eastbound lane of Sunrise Boulevard from US 1 to Middle River Drive is closed through early 2016. Two lanes are open for eastbound traffic on the north side of the existing bridge through spring 2015. Description: Project improvements include replacing the replacing the Sunrise Boulevard Bridge over the Middle River, increasing the bridge clearance by approximately 4 feet, relocating utilities, installing new lighting, signalization, and pavement markings. Cost/Completion: $9.5 million. Completion in early 2016. 10. State Road A1A Reconstruction Project from Sunrise Boulevard to NE 18 th Street in Fort Lauderdale A1A is restricted to one travel lane in each direction between Sunrise Boulevard and NE 18 th Street. o The outside lane in each direction of A1A is closed between Sunrise Boulevard and NE 14 th Court. Northbound and southbound traffic is being maintained on the inside lanes. o Both lanes of A1A between NE 14 th Court and NE 16 th Street are shifted west while crews work on the east side of the road. o Both lanes of A1A between NE 16 th Street and NE 18 th Street are shifted east while crews work on the west side of the road. Motor vehicles and bicycles are sharing the travel lanes through the project limits. Public parking along A1A within the project limits is prohibited until late 2015. The speed limit is reduced to 25 MPH through the project limits. The sidewalk is open on one side or the other. Pedestrian crosswalks and beach access are available at NE 9 th Street, Birch State Park, SE 14 th Street, SE 16 th Street and SE 18 th Street. Description: Project improvements include constructing a wide beachfront promenade on the east side of A1A consisting of a paver sidewalk, installing a decorative sea wall with accent lighting, constructing a raised median in front of Birch State Park, constructing median islands and left turn lanes in the residential section, installing a new underground drainage system, relocating underground utilities, adjusting manhole covers, restoring beach showers, installing decorative, turtle-friendly pedestrian lighting on both sides of A1A, and installing signalized pedestrian crosswalks at Birch State Park, NE 15th Court and NE 17th Street. Cost/Completion: $11.8 million. Completion in late 2015.

SR 7 / US 441 at Griffin Road Intersections Improvement Projects One lane in each direction of SR 7 / US 441 at Seminole Way will be closed Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. One eastbound lane of Griffin Road from SW 33 rd Avenue to SW 32 nd Avenue will be closed Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. One lane in each direction of SR 7 / US 441 at Griffin Road will be closed Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Description: The improvements under this contract include removing old asphalt and resurfacing the intersection, installing new mast arms, and installing new lighting at SR 7/US 441 and Griffin Road, installing new lighting and overhead signage from SR 7/US 441 from Seminole Way to Lucky Street, and installing new lighting on Griffin Road from SW 35th Avenue to SW 31st Street in Hollywood and Dania Beach. Cost/Completion: $1.4 million. Completion in spring 2015. 12. Sheridan Street Improvements Project from the Intracoastal Waterway to State Road A1A One lane in each direction of A1A at Sheridan Street will be closed Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Description: Project improvements include upgrading pedestrian features including curbs and ramps to meet ADA standards, improving drainage which will correct the standing water on the east end crosswalk, improving signalization by modifying the existing left turn green arrow from protective and permissive to only protected, and installing new signing and street markings. Cost/Completion: $2.1 million. Completion in spring 2015. 13. Hillsboro Boulevard from west of Natura Boulevard to west of Dixie Highway in Deerfield Beach One lane in each direction of Hillsboro Boulevard from west of Natura Boulevard to west of Dixie Highway will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Description: Project improvements include installing new decorative lighting along Hillsboro Boulevard within the project limits, installing countdown timers at the pedestrian crossings at Natura Boulevard and NW 3rd Avenue, installing a new mast arm signal at NW 2nd Avenue, and removing old asphalt and resurfacing the roadway. Cost/Completion: $831,515.39. Completion in fall 2015. 14. Countywide Mast Arm Painting Project One lane in each direction of A1A from Atlantic Boulevard to Oakland Park Boulevard will be closed intermittently Sunday night through Thursday night between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. Description: Project improvements include removal of existing paint coating and new application of paint on mast arms throughout the county. Cost/Completion: $739,775. Completion in fall 2015. 15. Drainage Improvements Project in Fort Lauderdale and Lauderhill

One lane in each direction of Commercial Boulevard from US 1 to Bayview Drive will be closed Monday night through Thursday night between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. One lane in each direction of Commercial Boulevard from US 1 to Bayview Drive will be closed intermittently Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. One eastbound lane of Atlantic Boulevard from east of E. Hemingway Circle to west of Lyons Road will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. through late March. Description: Project improvements include drainage and pavement repairs along NE 15 Ave from Commercial Boulevard to 50th Court in Fort Lauderdale, drainage and pavement repairs within the parking lot between US 1 and Port Royale Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, drainage and pavement repairs along Commercial Boulevard from US 1 to the Intracoastal Waterway in Fort Lauderdale, and the construction of two drainage structures along with pavement repairs along Atlantic Boulevard east of Banks Road in Lauderhill. Cost/Completion: $682,040. Completion in summer 2015. 16. Intersection Improvements Project at State Road A1A south of NE 7 th Avenue in Pompano Beach All lanes are open through March 20. Powerline Road Improvements Project in Deerfield Beach One lane in each direction of Powerline Road from north of West Drive to the Palm Beach County line will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Description: Project improvements include widening Powerline Road from north of West Drive to the Broward / Palm Beach County Line to accommodate bike lanes and shoulders from north of West Drive to the Broward / Palm Beach County Line, removing old asphalt and resurfacing the roadway, upgrading curbs and ramps to meet ADA standards, installing new pavement markings, installing new street signs, installing pedestrian countdown timers, improving lighting on the west side of Powerline Road just north of Hillsboro Boulevard. A1A from Seacrest Parkway to the County Line Improvements Project in Hallandale Beach and Hollywood Up to two lanes in each direction of A1A from Seacrest Parkway to the Miami- Dade County Line will be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Sidewalks on both sides of A1A will be closed intermittently Monday through Friday. Signs will be in place to direct pedestrians to sidewalk detours. U-turns from A1A northbound at the intersections of La Mer Condominiums (1890 S. Ocean Drive) and Hemispheres Condominiums (1980 S. Ocean Drive) are restricted Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. due to lane

closures on A1A southbound. Description: The improvements under this project include removing old asphalt and repaving with new asphalt within the project limits, upgrading signalization, installing stamped asphalt at pedestrian crosswalks, installing pedestrian countdown timers, installing Share the Road signage and pavement markings, and installing new mast arms. SR 7 / US 441 Improvements Project from SW 25 th Street to Fillmore Street in West Park, Miramar and Hollywood One of the two left turn lanes from northbound SR 7 to westbound Hollywood Boulevard is closed through early May. One of the two left turn lanes from southbound SR 7 to eastbound Hollywood Boulevard is closed through early May. One lane in each direction of Hollywood Boulevard from 61 st Terrace to 59 th Avenue is closed through early May. One of the two left turn lanes from eastbound Hollywood Boulevard to northbound SR 7 is closed through early May. One of the two left turn lanes from westbound Hollywood Boulevard to southbound SR 7 is closed through early May. Eastbound traffic on Hollywood Boulevard at SR 7 is shifted north to the inside lanes and will remain in this configuration through early May. Two lanes will be maintained in each direction. The left turn lane to northbound SR 7 / US 441 will not be affected. Motorists may turn right to southbound SR 7 / US 441 from the right lane. Northbound traffic on SR 7 / US 441 from Washington Street to Hollywood Boulevard is shifted west and remain in this configuration through May. Two lanes will be maintained in each direction on SR 7 / US 441 as well as one left turn lane and one right turn lane from SR 7 / US 441 to Hollywood Boulevard. Description: The improvements under this contract include adding one through lane in each direction for a total of six lanes with left turn lanes separated by raised medians; constructing new storm sewer system and retention ponds; installing new water and sewer lines; constructing bus bays at current bus stop locations; constructing curbs and gutters; adding or replacing sidewalks with ADA compliant ramps on both sides of the road; upgrading existing signalized intersections with mast arms and adding pedestrian countdown timers at Pembroke Road, Washington Street, and Hollywood Boulevard; improving street lighting along the corridor by installing new lighting system along the west side of SR 7 / US 441; adding Intelligent Transportation System components including digital message signs and traffic monitoring cameras, and resurfacing the roadway. A1A Bridge Rehabilitation Project over the Hillsboro Inlet in Hillsboro Beach North Riverside Drive underneath the bridge is closed for the duration of construction. The bridge is closed overnight to navigation between 7:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. through April 30. Mariners may request an opening during this time by providing a four-hour advance notice to the bridge tender or by calling (954)

943-1847. The vertical clearance of the bridge will be reduced by 2 feet for the duration of the project. The north and south side channels will be closed to navigation for the duration of the project because of on-going work in the channels. Andrews Avenue Reconstruction / Realignment Project in Pompano Beach Southbound Andrews Avenue will be reduced to one lane between Atlantic Boulevard and SW 1 st Court through Friday, July 3. One lane in each direction of Andrews Avenue will be maintained within the east side of the road. The left turn lane from southbound Andrews Avenue to westbound Atlantic Boulevard will not be affected. SW 2 nd Street will be closed from SW 12 th Avenue / Andrews Avenue to east of the railroad tracks through Friday, July 3. Motorists will be detoured to SW 13 th Avenue and SW 3 rd Street. Description: The improvements under this contract include Widening Andrews Avenue from SW 3rd Street to Atlantic Boulevard from a two-lane undivided roadway to a four-lane roadway with raised medians, installing bike lanes and sidewalks within the project limits, upgrading the drainage system with curb inlets and pipes that will carry water to ponds where it will be treated before being discharged to the Old Pompano Canal, installing Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) components including traffic monitoring cameras that use video detection, installing pedestrian countdown timers and internally illuminated directional signs at the Atlantic Boulevard and SW 3rd Street intersections, installing new mast arms and traffic signals at the Atlantic Boulevard and SW 3rd Street intersections, and installing new pavement markings, signing, lighting, and landscaping.
