CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS 1. I-95 from the Golden Glades Interchange in Miami-Dade County to Broward Boulevard in Broward County Up to three northbound lanes on I-95, from the Golden Glades Interchange in Miami-Dade County to Sunrise Boulevard in Broward County, will be closed Sunday through Thursday between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. and from 11 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday. At least two lanes will remain open at all times. Entrance and exit ramps will be closed as needed in the work zone. Detours will be clearly marked and electronic signs will advise drivers in advance. Up to three southbound lanes on I-95, from Sunrise Boulevard in Broward County to the Golden Glades Interchange in Miami-Dade County, will be closed Sunday through Thursday between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. and from 11 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday. At least two lanes will remain open at all times. Entrance and exit ramps will be closed as needed in the work zone. Detours will be clearly marked and electronic signs will advise drivers in advance. All northbound lanes of I-95 at Pembroke Road will be closed and traffic will be

detoured Friday, November 7 between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. for installation of a new toll gantry. The following detours will be in use: o Drivers going north on I-95 who want to continue going north should exit at Pembroke Road, go east to SR 5 / U.S. 1 / Federal Highway, north to Hollywood Boulevard and west to the northbound I-95 entrance ramp. The exit ramp from northbound I-95 to Sheridan Street will be closed as needed and traffic will be detoured Sunday through Thursday between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. During the closure, drivers going north on I-95 who want to exit at Sheridan Street should continue north to Stirling Road, go west to the southbound I-95 entrance ramp and south on I-95 to exit at Sheridan Street. The inside shoulder of the exit ramp from northbound I-95 to the Broward Boulevard Park and Ride Lot will be closed and traffic will be shifted as needed Sunday through Friday between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. The ramp will remain open at all times, but drivers should use caution and watch for equipment and workers in the area. Up to two eastbound or westbound lanes on Hallandale Beach Boulevard at I-95 will be closed as needed Sunday through Thursday between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. At least one lane will remain open at all times. Up to two eastbound or westbound lanes on Pembroke Road at I-95 will be closed as needed Sunday through Thursday between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. At least one lane will remain open at all times. Description: This project will extend the High Occupancy Toll Express lanes from northern Miami-Dade County north 13 miles to Fort Lauderdale. The project includes installing Intelligent Transportation System components; modifying the Ives Dairy Road interchange; bridge widening at specific locations and installing new noise barrier walls at locations between Hollywood Boulevard and Taft Street. Cost/Completion: The construction cost is $112 million. Completion is expected April 2015. 2. I-75 from NW 170 th Street in Miami-Dade County to I-595 in Broward County One lane in each direction of I-75 from Griffin Road to Indian Trace may be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. for road survey and construction work. One northbound lane of I-75 from SW 148 th Avenue to eastbound SR 84 may be closed Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. for road work and tree relocation for sound wall construction. A flag crew will direct traffic. One lane in each direction of I-75 from north of Griffin Road to south of Royal Palm Boulevard may be closed Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. for construction. One northbound lane of I-75 from north of Miramar Parkway to Pines Boulevard may be closed Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. for bridge construction. One southbound lane of I-75 from north of Pines Boulevard to north of Miramar Parkway may be closed Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. for bridge construction. One northbound lane of I-75 from south of Miramar Parkway to Miramar Parkway may be closed Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. for bridge construction. One southbound lane of I-75 from north of Miramar Parkway to Miramar Parkway may be closed Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. for bridge construction.

Description: This 15-mile project will add four tolled managed lanes in the I-75 median from NW 170 th Street in northern Miami-Dade County to I-595 in Broward County. The work will be completed in four segments to minimize the impact to the public. This project includes entrance and exit access points to the express lanes; a bridge with a direct connection to 595 Express; integrated Intelligent Transportation System and tolling components; noise barrier walls at various locations and new signage, lighting, drainage and landscaping improvements. Cost/Completion: Construction cost is $536 million. Completion is expected in late 2018. 3. Eller Drive east of the I-595/US 1 interchange at Port Everglades Intermittent lanes may be closed in either direction within the project limits Monday through Friday at all times. One eastbound lane of I-595 entering Port Everglades will be closed as needed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Northbound access to the intersection of Eller Drive and NE 7th Avenue will be closed as needed overnight Monday through Friday between 6:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. for overhead bridge work. During the closure, northbound motorists on NE 7th Avenue will be detoured east to McIntosh Road where they can make a U-turn to westbound Eller Drive toward westbound I-595, U.S. 1, or Fort Lauderdale- Hollywood International Airport. Description: A new overpass is being built over Eller Drive and the Port Everglades Railroad. The project includes reconstruction of several ramps in the I-595/US 1/Eller Drive interchange, reconstruction of the Eller Drive intersections at NE 7 th Avenue, NE 14 th Avenue and McIntosh Road, installation of new railroad tracks and crossing signals, drainage retention ponds, moving utilities out of the construction path, concrete pavement roadway construction, highway lighting system, landscaping and irrigation. Cost/Completion: $42.5 million. Completion in early 2015. 4. State Road 7/U.S. 441 at Prospect Road in Fort Lauderdale/Tamarac Traffic Impacts: All lanes are open through November 7. Description: Project improvements include installation of an electronic system that will enable buses on SR 7 / U.S. 441 to minimize wait times in the outside turn lane. Cost/Completion: $52,225. Completion in fall 2014. 5. Bridges of the Isles and Sunrise Key Bridges Replacement in Fort Lauderdale Traffic Impacts: One lane of the Fiesta Way Bridge is closed through late 2014. A traffic signal and flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone. One lane of the Nurmi Drive Bridge is closed through late 2014. A traffic signal and flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone. One lane of the Royal Palm Bridge will be closed intermittently Wednesday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone. One lane of the Isle of Venice Bridge will be closed intermittently Wednesday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone. One westbound lane of Las Olas Boulevard from Royal Palm Drive to Fiesta Way will be closed Wednesday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Description: Project improvements include the demolition and replacement of the five low level bridges off Las Olas Boulevard to Royal Palm Drive, Nurmi Drive, Fiesta Way and Isle of Venice and the low level Sunrise Key Bridge off NE 6th Court. Cost/Completion: $8 million. Completion in late 2015. 6. I-95 Bridge Painting and Rehabilitation over the South Fork of the New River in Fort Lauderdale Traffic Impacts: All lanes are open through November 7. Description: Project improvements include the repair, rehabilitation and painting of the three I-95 bridges over the South Fork of the New River. Cost/Completion: $18 million. Completion in fall 2014. 7. Kingfisher Waterway Bridge Replacement in Lighthouse Point Traffic Impacts: The bridge is closed to all traffic through the fall 2014. Southbound traffic is detoured to NE 21st Avenue via NE 33rd Street and then back to NE 23 rd Avenue via NE 30 th Court. Northbound traffic is detoured to NE 21st Avenue via NE 31st Street and then back to NE 23 rd Avenue via NE 34 th Street. Description: Project improvements include replacing the bridge over Kingfisher Waterway, installing new drainage, upgrading curb and ramps to ADA requirements, and constructing and repairing sidewalks. Cost/Completion: $1.2 million. Completion in late 2014. 8. CSX Bridge Replacement over the South Fork of the New River in Fort Lauderdale Outside shoulder of the westbound I-595 exit ramp to northbound I-95 will be closed through October 2015. Description: Project improvements include replacing the existing South Florida Rail Corridor CSX Railroad rolling lift bridge just west of I-95 over the south fork of the New River in Fort Lauderdale. Cost/Completion: $22 million. Completion in spring 2016. 9. Andrews Avenue Extension Reconstruction in Pompano Beach One lane in each direction of Andrews Avenue from NW 18 th Street to Park Central Boulevard will be closed intermittently Monday through Sunday between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. One eastbound lane of Copans Road from NW 15 th Avenue to the CSX Railway will be closed intermittently Monday through Sunday between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. One eastbound lane of Copans Road from NW 15 th Avenue to the CSX Railway will be closed intermittently overnight Sunday through Thursday between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. One eastbound lane of Copans Road from NW 15 th Avenue to the CSX Railway will be closed intermittently overnight Friday and Saturday between 11 p.m. and 9

a.m. Description: Project improvements include reconstructing Andrews Avenue Extension from NW 18th Street to north of Copans Road, widening and repaving Andrews Avenue Extension within the project limits, changing roadway access on Andrews Avenue Extension, restriping Andrews Avenue Extension within the project limits, installing new overhead signal arms, installing new drainage, upgrading curb and ramps to ADA requirements, constructing and repairing sidewalks, installing new lighting, installing new signals at intersections within the project limits, and installing new signs. Cost/Completion: $6.6 million. Completion in fall 2015. 10. Sheridan Street from CSX Railroad to North 26th Avenue One lane in each direction of Sheridan Street from the CSX Railway to North 26 th Avenue will be closed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Description: Project improvements include removing old asphalt and repaving Sheridan Street within the project limits, except within the I-95 interchange, upgrading existing traffic signals to mast arms, upgrading pedestrian features including curbs and ramps to meet ADA standards, and improving drainage. Cost/Completion: $3.9 million. Completion in early 2015. 11. Sunrise Boulevard Bridge over the Middle River The sidewalk along both sides of the Sunrise Boulevard Middle River Bridge from NE 20 th Avenue to Middle River Drive is closed through summer 2015. Pedestrians can use the sidewalk along the north side of the temporary bridge. One of the two left turn lanes from northbound Middle River Drive to westbound Sunrise Boulevard is closed through early 2016. One westbound lane of Sunrise Boulevard from Middle River Drive to NE 20 th Avenue is closed through early 2016. Two lanes are open for westbound traffic on the temporary bridge for the duration of the construction project. Left turns from westbound Sunrise Boulevard to southbound NE 20 th Avenue are permitted from the left westbound through lane through early 2015. One eastbound lane of Sunrise Boulevard from U.S. 1 to Middle River Drive is closed through early 2016. Two lanes are open for eastbound traffic on the north side of the existing bridge through spring 2015. Description: Project improvements include replacing the replacing the Sunrise Boulevard Bridge over the Middle River, increasing the bridge clearance by approximately 4 feet, relocating utilities, installing new lighting, signalization, and pavement markings. Cost/Completion: $9.5 million. Completion in early 2016. 12. Dixie Highway Roadway Improvements Project from McNab Road to NE 26 Street in Pompano Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Oakland Park, and Wilton Manors One southbound lane of Dixie Highway on the bridge over the North Fork Middle River Canal is closed for the duration of the project. This closure is necessary to remove and reconstruct the bridge concrete barrier wall and install the new pedestrian/bicycle railing. One lane in each direction of Dixie Highway from NE 43rd Court to Oakland Park

Boulevard will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. One southbound lane of Dixie Highway from Commercial Boulevard to 62 nd Street will be closed overnight Sunday through Thursday between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. One northbound lane of Dixie Highway from Oakland Park Boulevard to Commercial Boulevard will be closed overnight Sunday through Thursday between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. Description: Project improvements include removing old asphalt and repaving Dixie Highway within the project limits, upgrading existing traffic signals to mast arms at NE 34th Court and Oakland Park Boulevard, upgrading pedestrian features including curbs and ramps to meet ADA standards, improving drainage, and installing new vehicle and pedestrian railing on Middle River Canal bridge. Cost/Completion: $3.9 million. Completion in fall 2014. 13. Signalization Installation Project on State Road 84 at I-95 in Fort Lauderdale One lane and the shoulder of the exit ramp from northbound I-95 to westbound SR 84 will be closed Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Description: Project improvements include installing bridge mounted signs and video detection systems. Cost/Completion: $64,000. Completion in fall 2014. 14. Westbound State Road 84 Sign Installation Project in Davie One northbound lane and shoulder of the I-95 exit ramp to SR 84 will be closed overnight Monday through Thursday between 11 p.m. and 3 a.m. Description: Project improvements include installing a 15. I-595 Bridges Fender System Replacement Project over the South Fork of the New River in Fort Lauderdale Minimal impact to motorists is expected during construction. The contractor does not anticipate any construction-related lane closures. The horizontal clearance within the channel will be reduced from 40 feet to 30 feet while crews are working Monday through Friday between 7:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. With a 45 minute notice, the barge may be moved to restore the 40-foot clearance. Description: Project improvements include replacing the marine fenders and navigation lights underneath the I-595 bridges. Cost/Completion: $582,300. Completion in late 2014. 16. State Road 84 at I-95 Drainage Pond Restoration Project in Fort Lauderdale All lanes are open through November 7. Description: Project improvements include restoring the drainage pond and converting it from a dry retention pond to a wet retention pond. Cost/Completion: $198,300. Completion in fall 2014. 17. West Lake Park Pedestrian Improvements Project in Hollywood All lanes are open through November 7. Description: Project improvements include the construction of a concrete sidewalk and a 100- foot pedestrian bridge over a drainage canal within West Lake Park. It will provide a

crosswalk north 14th Avenue with the use of new pavement markings and signage. Cost/Completion: $334,000. Completion in fall 2014. 18. State Road A1A Reconstruction Project from Sunrise Boulevard to NE 18 th Street in Fort Lauderdale One lane in each direction of A1A from Sunrise Boulevard to NE 14th Street is closed through late 2014. One lane in each direction will remain open. Both lanes of traffic along A1A from NE 14th Street to NE 18th Street are shifted east through late 2014 as crews work on the west side of the road. One lane in each direction will remain open. On-street parking along A1A within the project limits has been eliminated during construction. The speed limit is reduced to 25 MPH through this construction zone. One right turn lane from eastbound Sunrise Boulevard to southbound A1A will be closed Wednesday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Description: Project improvements include constructing a wide beachfront promenade on the east side of A1A consisting of a paver sidewalk, installing a decorative sea wall with accent lighting, constructing a raised median in front of Birch State Park, constructing median islands and left turn lanes in the residential section, installing a new underground drainage system, relocating underground utilities, adjusting manhole covers, restoring beach showers, installing decorative, turtle-friendly pedestrian lighting on both sides of A1A, and installing signalized pedestrian crosswalks at Birch State Park, NE 15th Court and NE 17th Street. Description: The improvements under this contract include removing old asphalt and resurfacing the intersection, installing new mast arms, and installing new lighting at SR 7/US 441 and Griffin Road, installing new lighting and overhead signage from SR 7/US 441 from Seminole Way to Lucky Street, and installing new lighting on Griffin Road from SW 35th Avenue to SW 31st Street in Hollywood and Dania Beach.
