President Mary Heeley called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. Fred Gronemeier led the Club in the Pledge of Allegiance. Motion to accept the Treasurer's Report was made by Dick Mericle and seconded by Dan Harris. Motion carried. Secretary s Report: A motion was made by David Peeples to approve the minutes as published. There was a second by Rick Mestre. Motion carried. Membership Report: Dawn Stillwell does not have a current count still adding new members from December. No motion necessary. NCM Report: Schedule of Upcoming Events: Mar. 12-17 - "Museum in Motion" Tour to Sebring Corvette Racing Event: Tour participants will visit places such as the Naval Coastal Base with its Deep Dive and Experimental Diving facilities, State Parks, the Don Garlits Museum of Drag Racing and St. Armand's Circle in Sarasota before settling in for two days of immersion in Corvette Racing at Sebring as part of the Corvette Corral. Registration is now open and will close February 17, 2012 but these tours sell out quickly so don't wait too long. Apr. 26-28 - C5/C6 Bash: The Schedule of Events is available online. At the NCM Bash is your opportunity to meet Chevrolet's world record holding driver, Jim Mero! He will be here to share his stories of setting records on the Nurburgring in the Z06 and ZR1. These cars are also on display at the Museum. Also new to the Bash are seminars by GM Powertrain and Design. They'll be doing a seminar with clay model demos - never before seen outside the studio. Registration is open and being handled online also. For more information, visit their web site at: www.jimbutlerchevrolet.com Aug. 4 - Oct. 28 - Sept. 11th: A Global Moment: This exhibit explores the global, personal, and historical significance of September 11, 2001. This major exhibition includes rare and important artifacts from the World Trade Center after its destruction, a timeline that traces the events of the day, and personal stories about everyday life and the aftermath. Visitors will gain a clearer understanding about the events of September 11, 2001 and use the exhibition as a platform to share their experiences about September 11. The exhibition includes over 150 artifacts, images, and films. Nov. 1 - Dec. 31 - Country Music Stars and Cars: See Corvettes owned by Country music stars and the memorabilia to go with them! Cars include Brad Paisley's ZR1, Kix Brooks' (of Brooks & Dunn) 1958 Corvette, Faith Hill and Tim McGraw's 1960 Corvette. Corvette Raffles: Jan. 12 - "Build Your Own" 2012 Grand Sport of $50,000 Cash Option. There are 1,994 tickets available. The tickets are $100 each. (As of Monday, Jan 9th they had sold only 217 tickets.) Feb. 2-2012 Torch Red Coupe, 2nd Prize: Corvette Quilt. There is unlimited number of tickets available. Tickets: $10 each. (Chuck Watson has tickets for this.) Anyone interest in purchasing raffle tickets or wanting more information on the raffles, can go online to www.corvettemuseum.com and click on "Corvette Raffle in the left hand column or call 800-538-3883. The winner does not have to be present to win, and they will draw a winner regardless of the number of tickets sold! Club Trip to Corvette Assembly Plant and NCM: Chuck is planning a trip to the Corvette Assembly Plant and the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY. The plan is to leave St. Louis sometime in the morning on Wednesday June 13th and arrive in Bowling Green that afternoon. Do a plant tour of the museum on Thursday, June 14th and then a couple of other attractions on Friday and/or Saturday. The Bowling Green Hot Rods (the local Minor League team) are in town then so we could possibly go to a game that Friday evening. Chuck will check the schedule of what is going on at Beech Bend Race Track nearby. Then we would head back to St. Louis sometime on Saturday or Sunday, June 16th or 17th. As previously mentioned, the display at the museum during this will be of the Callaway Corvettes and the tribute to the Z06. If anyone is interested in purchasing a brick before then, they can have a brick unveiling at that time also. Chuck is working on getting a block of 15 rooms at the Drury Inn there in Bowling Green. The room rate they gave him was $99.95 per night for a king, nonsmoking room. A few details about the hotel: they have free Wi-Fi, free hot breakfast, free soda & popcorn in the lobby (daily 3-10 pm), and their 5:30 Kickback (free Hot Food & Cold Beverages at nominal charge.) There are microwaves & refrigerators in all the rooms. If we get more than 20 people, Chuck can get the entire group scheduled as a "private group tour of the assembly plant. Page 3

Groups account setup where members can share ideas and information about club activities and other Corvette related issues, store photos and other club related files, set up informal opinion polls about upcoming events, add events to the calendar, and more. This is meant to be a supplement to our club web site, not a replacement. The Yahoo! Group is one of the benefits of The Original Corvette Club of St. Louis and is restricted to current club membership only. If you are a new club member and would like to join this list, please submit your request and upon verification, one of the moderators will welcome you to the list. Information Regarding the Museum: If anyone would like some information about the museum, their brick program, etc. Chuck has some of their brochures. New Members/Visitors: Calvin Weber was visiting. He previously has owned a Corvette but doesn't have one currently. Dennis Hardesty, Suzie and Pokie Wildhaber were visiting from Looking Glass Corvette Club. CHARITY COMMITTEE REPORT: No report. JIM BUTLER UPDATE: Rick Mestre reported that he had spoken with Butler representatives and the Sponsorship check has been mailed. The cost is $20 per person. There will be an ugly sweater and ugly tie contest. Currently there are 74 attending. Contact Christine Stoeppler for additional information. Jan. 26-29 - Auto Show at the Dome - Jim Ford announced that you should contact him regarding signing up as a workers. There are currently 5 cars that will be display. He does not know the location but would like it to be by the Chevy display. Jim will send more info on the Yahoo group. We still have spots open for workers. If want to work you need to be on the schedule. There will be 3-4 hour shifts per day. The owners of the cars on display and all workers scheduled will have their parking fees reimbursed by the Club. Rick Poepping announced that the registration is still open for Talladega. Judy Turner is sponsoring this event. Steve Majino announced that there will be a Man Cruise with LGCC on May 19th but this will not included Mid-America. Also Gateway will re-open with a drag strip and road course later this year. Wednesday Night Dinner: Every Wednesday evening at 6:30pm a group of OCC members get together for an evening out. We go to a different restaurant every week and are always open to suggestions for new places to go. It is a great way to meet and get to know other members of the Club. All OCC members are welcome. New Business & Discussion: Mary Heeley, President, announced that the following changes to the bylaws were discussed by the Executive Committee meeting on January 7, 2012 and are now being brought to the general membership for approval. Article II, Section 5: Expulsion, C. Now reads: Renewal of lapsed memberships must be approved by the Executive Committee Proposed change to read: Renewal of lapsed memberships will be brought to the Executive Committee for approval at the discretion of the Current Board. Motion to accept made by Dan Harris, second by Fred Gronemeier. Article II, Section 6: Executive Committee Meetings Proposed addition to read: The residing President shall hold an Executive Committee meeting to take place after annual elections and prior to the 1 st meeting of the new year in order to: 1. Transition newly elected officers into their positions, 2. Discuss any amendments to the By-Laws, 3. Discuss any issues brought forth by the Members. The Club shall cover reasonable costs for refreshments out of the Club treasury if funds are available. Motion to accept made by Dick Mericle, second by Steve Majino. Article VI, Section 3: Activities Committee, C. Now reads: The Club is willing to subsidize an event from the Club treasury up to $100.00 if funds are available. Above this amount, pre-approval is necessary from the Executive Committee. Proposed change to read: The Club is willing to subsidize an OCC sponsored event from the Club treasury up to $100.00 if funds are available. Any amount above $100.00 but less than $250.00 requires pre-approval from the Current Board. Non-recurring expenses over $250.00 will require pre-approval from the Executive Committee. Motion to accept made by Ron Hays, second by Judi DeLonjay. Mary Heeley announced that the changes will be made to the by-laws and printed copies will be available to the membership. At the recent Executive Committee meeting a motion was made and approved that the Club will purchase a laptop computer (under the amount of $500) to be used by the Membership Committee. This laptop will be owned by the Club but will reside in the possession of the Acting Membership Committee until their term ends or they resign. At that time, it will be turned over to the new Membership Chair/Committee. Also at the Executive Committee meeting a motion was made and approved that the Club purchase Memorial flowers or make monetary donations in the event of the passing of a Member, Associate Member or one of their immediate family Page 5

OCC Apparel: Contact Joe Peery at Express Yourself for any of your embroidered OCC Club apparel. We will continue to send cards in the case of illness or the passing of any other family member. Please remember to contact the Board if you are hospitalized or know of someone who is hospitalized or who has experienced the loss of a family member. The Board encourages the Chairs of an event to designate how they wish proceeds from their event to be disbursed (return to the Club s general fund, to a specific charity or to the Sponsor s charity of choice). Funds should be deposited into the Club account and can be immediately disbursed to the Charity. It is not necessary for the Club to hold funds until the end of the calendar year. In order to try to increase our Membership, packets will be put together by the Membership Committee and Rick Mestre will deliver them to Chevy dealerships in our area. These packets will be given to buyers of Corvettes. The packet will include an invitation for a free membership to the Club (new Members only) for the year in which they purchased their Corvette. We will also make available to our current Membership the You ve been carded business cards and encourage you to keep them handy for distribution at local events and as you are out and about in your neighborhoods. The Membership Committee and Webmaster will update the Buzz Book twice a year, March and September. The President will review the last 14 months of the Treasurer s Statements and will put together a 2012 budget for the Club. This will enable us to make good financial decisions and allow us to support the Club s activities while maintaining a solid financial foundation not only for the current year but future years as well. It was suggested that Members use the Event Forms which allow us to keep better track of events, give the VP information necessary to get the event on the calendar, and allow us to plan for expenditures throughout the year. Shirley Berving announced that since Sue Scobbie has retired we have found someone to do the embroidery for the club. The company is Express Yourself which is owned by Joe Peery. You can purchase your own items and he will do the embroidery. His phone number is 636-937-1103 and the business is located at 114 Main Street Rear, Festus, MO 63028. Fred Gronemeier gave an update on Betty Easley. She has had some health issues but is currently doing great. Jim's son put Old Ugly" on a trailer and drove it down to his house. Jim Ford wanted to thank Tammy on behalf of the club for maintaining their standard with limited conditions for our dinner tonight. Make sure your name is on the sign-up sheet for dinner next month for Joan Walter. 50/50 Drawing: The winner of the 50/50 Drawing of $85 was won by Carol and Floyd Johnstone.
