a corporate e-zine Pulse Polio immunization conducted at GVK MIAL GVK MIAL in association with Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) conducted a Pulse Polio immunization drive on 17 January at GVK CSIA. Several immunization booths were set up at the airport under the supervision of MIAL Medical Services Department and MCGM. Under this initiative, 400 children (below the age of five years) were vaccinated. GVK MIAL has been actively participating in all Pulse Polio immunization drives since 2010 and immunized more than 5000 children travelling though GVK CSIA till date. GVK KIAB screens for Zika virus GVK KIAB in association with the State Health Department intensified the screening for Zika virus carriers at the airport. The health department deputed two doctors and paramedical staff each from Bengaluru Urban and Rural at the airport to assist the airport doctors. The screening involved detection for the yellow fever, which is one of the five diseases spread from the aedes aegypti mosquito. The others are dengue, chikungunya, West Nile fever and Zika.
