THE NEW ICONIC ADDRESS In the trendiest city in the world (according to Lonely Planet s 2017 hot list), Bordeaux Saint-Jean is creating a new urban ideal, close to the railway station of the same name: a multi-faceted, inclusive and animated quarter that brings together a range of different functions (living, working, sharing, shopping and keeping fit) and anticipates new uses. Designed by Maison Edouard François, the project s architecture makes a powerful and prolific gesture: the creation of a meridian line that links the railway station to the Garonne river and opens out onto a stunning building-landscape on the banks of the Garonne river to extend the experience along the docks. On either side of this meridian line is a new, open-air ecosystem composed of several blocks and completely integrated into the city. A place where people meet, share and mingle, Bordeaux Saint-Jean will be the new iconic address of Bordeaux.
