The ride is in honor of Bob Burns who passed away 7 years ago. Bob was an avid trail rider and was very active in all horse activities in and around Ava, MO. Bob served as president of the Douglas County Fox Trotters for several years. He was also a founding member and Trail Master of the Mountain Riders Chapter of the Back Country Horsemen and an active member of the MFTH- BA. Nineteen riders enjoyed a warm, fall morning on Friday, while 29 riders rode out on Saturday morning for a breathtaking 4-hour ride.
