1 Source of information This is an ISD Scotland provisonal National Statistics release Waiting Times Data Warehouse 2 Notes on interpretation Database The Waiting Times Data Warehouse collects waiting times information for inpatients, day cases and outpatients a b c d e f g h RACPC: Indicators are based on Scottish residents seen at a new NHS appointment at a RACPC clinic following referral from their GP. Angiography, Revascularisation, Valve Surgery: Indicators are based on Scottish residents waiting for angiography, revascularistation or valve surgery as an inpatient or day case. Children's hospitals are excluded. Other cardiac treatment: Indicators are based on Scottish residents waiting for cardiac surgery or cardiology treatment as an inpatient or day case, excluding those waiting for angiography, revascularistation or valve surgery. Due to different local service configurations, NHS Boards have set local targets for the assessment (access to a RACPC) and investigation (angiography) parts of the 16 week cardiac journey target (see below). The targets for the intervention (revascularisation and valve surgery) part of the journey is set at 10 weeks for each NHS Board and the target for any other cardiac treatment is set at the whole 16 weeks. These statistics are derived from a new data source, and some quality issues remain.
