In Japanese-style moon viewing, people display silver grass, rice dumplings, taro, green soybean, chestnuts and Japanese sake as offerings to the moon. This year, Jugoya will be the first full-moon night in six years! It is called the Mid-Autumn Festival, the day to celebrate the autumn harvest. In Nankinmachi (Kobe's Chinatown), the festival will be held and visitors will be entertained by many fun events, such as Chinese dances, t'aichi, and lion dances. [Youths from Russia and Korea come to Hyogo!] Youth exchange programs in summer held as scheduled ~Exchange of smiles, blowing harmful rumors away~ As part of their summer vacation activities, a youth soccer team from Korea, a youth exchange delegation and a youth sports team from Khabarovsk visited Hyogo in August as scheduled. They enjoyed communicating with Japanese boys and girls, as well as the beautiful natural environment and delicious foods in Hyogo.
