Day Visitors The basic day visitor rate for guests is R450 per person and includes either a morning or afternoon Game Drive followed by a buffet breakfast or 3-course dinner respectively. Quad bike game viewing in the morning followed by breakfast or afternoon followed by dinner is available at R495pp. A bushdinner day package can be booked for a minimum of 2 people as a game drive (R450pp), bushdinner (R350pp) and helicopter (R1250 pp excl vat) fly-inn. A maximum combined weight of 255kg is allowed on the helicopter and accurate weights need to be supplied otherwise flights will be cancelled without reimbursement. Massage treatments ranging from a back and neck at R300, foot and leg R300 to a full body massage at R500 can be arranged along with one of the above day packages. Dinners at Mattanu include a starter, buffet with 2 mains and dessert with menus rotating daily. Any special dietary requirements need to be discussed in advance.
Accommodation FULLY INCLUSIVE PACKAGES Safari Tented accommodation R1 790 pppn sharing Five Luxury Tented units are available. Tented accommodation is R1790/person per night sharing and includes an afternoon game drive followed by dinner and a morning game drive followed by breakfast. A single supplement rate of 50% will be charged for non-sharing guests. Chd u/12 sharing a room with their parents will be 50% of adult rate. Every tent has its own private deck, under-floor heating, air-conditioning and a jet spa bath. You will also receive a welcoming drink, coldrinks, champagne and chocolate in the room. Accommodation FULLY INCLUSIVE PACKAGES Thatched Roof Suite R3600 for first two and R700 pp extra for additional room per night The luxury suite can accommodate 4 adults. One room is a double bed loft room opening up onto a deck and the downstairs room is either a twin room or can be moved together as a queen. This double storey, thatched roof building is very private and offers a fire place lounge with plasma screen, boma/ braai area, kitchenette, viewing deck and two bathrooms (One with corner bath and one with shower). This includes an afternoon game drive followed by dinner and a morning game drive followed by breakfast. You will also receive a welcoming drink, coldrinks, champagne and chocolate in the rooms. Massage Treatments Massage treatments ranging from a foot to a full body massage can be arranged along with your accommodation packages. Our therapists can help you relax with a foot and leg, back neck and shoulder (R300) or full body massage (R500).
Game Capture SAFARI If accommodation is booked a minimum of 1 hour helicopter flying time needs to be booked at R6500/hour and this includes flying time for 2 pax. R1050pp excl VAT wanting to fly thereafter. As a day trip the package will be booked as above and R450pp excl VAT will be charged additionally for a game drive and dinner.
Game Drives The Game Drives usually depart early morning and late afternoon and snacks/coldrinks are included. Quad Bikes Early morning game drives may also be done on Quad bikes at R350 per person for accommodation guests replacing the morning game drive with a quad bike ride. Guided walking trails and mountain bike routes can also be organised additional to any accommodation package.
Helicopter GAME VIEWING & BUSHVELD DINNER FLY-INN FLIPS We also have Helicopter game viewing and bushveld dinner fly-inn flips (total combined weight of 255kg) at R1050/person excl VAT (min 2 people) or R6500 per hour, which usually accompanies the three-course bushveld dinners of R350/person. General The swimming pool will also be available for your use. A cash bar will be available with meals. Dinner at Mattanu is a 3 course set menu and is combined daily from a selection of menus which rotate. A starter is served, with the 2 main dishes, vegetables and salads being buffet and then the desert is also served. We try and maintain a truly South African feel to our cuisine so please let us know if there are any special meal requirements.
