December 2016 Page 8 FOUNTAIN HILLS RALLY NOVEMBER 10 13, 2016 RECAP The Fountain Hills Rally was held at the Eagle View RV Resort located at 9850 N. Fort McDowell Rd. in Fort McDowell, AZ, and was attended by 40 Roadrunners. The weather was gorgeous and the resort was the perfect place to enjoy great food, great friends, with shopping just around the corner at the Annual Fountain Hills Art & Craft Festival. The first night included a Happy Hour followed by a wonderful Heavy Appetizer Pot Luck dinner. Friday morning was the Wagon Master Blueberry Pancake Breakfast, including some fruit and sausage. After breakfast about half of the attendees enjoyed a noon, 90 minute Saguaro Lake Cruise aboard the Desert Belle, while others went over to the Craft Festival. Friday evening s Happy Hour began at 4 P.M. followed by a dinner On Your Own. Saturdays morning s Continental Breakfast included Debbie s fabulous homemade fresh cinnamon rolls, hand prepared fresh fruit and meat. Then most everyone headed over to the Fountain Hills Festival of Arts and Crafts, and shopped until they dropped. Others explored the nearby hills and dales of the valley, including Scottsdale. In the evening the happy Hour was followed by a Wagon Master Novemberfest dinner of Brats (that Steve cooked in beer and then put on the Barbie - so perfect), and included Sauerkraut with all the fixings. Everyone sang and wished a Happy Birthday to about 10 Roadrunners celebrating November birthdays, with chocolate cake and ice cream. It was fun finding out the many birth dates (no ages of course). The Wagon Masters Larry & Sally Walby, Bill & Susan Hatcher, and Steve & Debbie Holliger thank everyone who participated and made the rally successful.
