EUROPEAN BUSINESS AVIATION DEPARTURE GROWTH During the 2 nd Quarter, activity grew in several leading Western European markets, also notably in Poland and Greece. But there were sizeable declines in Turkey and Ukraine.. ACTIVITY BY AIRCRAFT CATEGORY Business jet activity represents 70% activity, and slightly fell, compared to Q1 2013. As turboprops also flew less, the growth impact was due to the business piston fleet, a full 18% busier than in Q1 2013. CHARTER FLIGHT HOURS AND CHARTER PRICING Generally pricing has increased on Q1 2013, especially in midsize and heavy jet segments, and despite no growth and stable fuel input costs. ESTIMATED EMPTY LEG DEPARTURES Empty legs are estimated to have represented 43% of all sectors operated in Q1 2014. There was a large increase in empty legs in the ULR and VL jet segments, mirroring significant gains in these segments activity.
