The helicopter was performing a mountain training flight near Terrace BC when it hit the side of a mountain valley and crashed in deep snow, at 4500 feet ASL. The aircraft was destroyed. 2012 2012 2011 2008 2008 2007 2007 2006 2006 2004 2004 2003 A helicopter was performing a mountain training flight near Terrace BC when it hit the side of a mountain valley and crashed in deep snow, at 4500 feet ASL. The aircraft was destroyed. The three occupants were fatally injured. 2 During landing at Fort Nelson, a Boeing 737-700 overran the runway by about 230 feet. No injuries to the 112 passengers and 6 crew members. 3 Small aircraft on a night visual flight rules flight from Peace River Airport, Alberta, to Fort St. John Airport crashes near Ft St John. Pilot was killed. 4 A helicopter was long lining drill rig supplies at Legate Creek near Terrace. The load landed hard and became entangled in trees. Pilot was killed upon impact. 5 A helicopter was lifting off to service a drilling operation at Alice Arm. It lost power and crashed into the Kitsault River. The 4 occupants died upon impact. 6 Scheduled flight from Grand Prairie Alberta, crashed 320 feet short of the runway at Fort St. John. There were no injuries to the 2 pilots or 10 passengers. 7 Twin Otter aircraft crashed at take off from Muncho Lake. One person died of severe burns while four others had serious to minor impact injuries. 8 9 A helicopter was lifting off to service a drilling operation at Alice Arm. It crashed in the estuary and was destroyed. The 3 occupants died upon impact. 10 Cargo charter aircraft crashed shortly after take-off from Prince George Regional Airport. The aircraft was destroyed. The pilot suffered serious injuries. 11 Helicopter was hovering at about 180 ft when the engine lost power and the craft descended into the trees near Tumbler Ridge. The pilot was slightly injured. 12 Picking up a survey crew on steep slope north of Terrace, a helicopter crashed and burned. The pilot was seriously injured and was rescued by the survey crew. 13 A flight from Vancouver to Smithers crashed in the Shovelnose creek area at an altitude of approximately 3900 feet. Both pilots died of their injuries. 14 Courier aircraft crashed shortly after departing the Terrace airport. The aircraft was destroyed. The two pilots were killed upon impact. 15 A helicopter was lifting a 900 lb load near Bob Quinn Lake when there was a loud bang and it lost power. The craft crashed and the pilot was seriously injured. 16 A helicopter returning to a remote logging camp from Prince Rupert, suffered an in flight break-up. The pilot was found deceased near the wreckage. 17 Float equipped piper aircraft flying supplies from Linda Lake to Tootsie Lake crashed at takeoff from Linda Lake. The 2 pilots and 2 paramedics were not injured. 19 A helicopter carrying a sling load at about 500 ft. lost power near Smithers. The pilot initiated an autorotation descent the 2 crew members escaped serious injury. 20 A helicopter supplying a drilling operation near Pink Mountain lost its tail rotor authority. The craft spun around as it crashed the pilot was killed.. 21 A helicopter was lifting a load of logs near Saw-tooth Mountain person when it lost power and crashed into a 45 ⁰ mtn. slope pilot was killed on impact. 22 Small aircraft departed from Ft St. James. Somewhere near Valemount the right wing separated from the plane. The pilot and passenger were killed upon impact. 23 An RCMP chartered aircraft crashed shortly after takeoff from Teslin Lake near the Yukon border. The pilot and passenger were killed upon impact. 24 Small aircraft departed from Smithers to Dease Lake. The plane crashed in a snow covered mountain at 5,100 ft. The 3 occupants were killed upon impact. 25 Small aircraft departed from Bear Valley to Tsay Keh Dene. The plane crashed onto the ice at Williston Lake. Aircraft destroyed - pilot was seriously injured. 26 The lone pilot and the ground crew escaped injuries when a helicopter operating at Fort Nelson lost power during a lift and auto-rotated into a swamp. 27 A helicopter was flying at high-speed while filming the terrain. It struck an ice wall, exploded and fell into crevasse. The pilot and 3 occupants died. 28 Medical Service Flight returning from Prince Rupert to Gingolx, crashed and sank at Gingolx. All five occupants drowned when the aircraft sank. 29 Small aircraft departed from Bear Valley Airstrip to Prince George. The aircraft crashed into Williston Lake. The 3 occupants were killed upon impact. 30 A helicopter dispatched to pick up a survey crew at Bear Valley became lost in thick cloud cover and crashed at 5200 ft. ASL. The pilot was killed upon impact. 31 A float equipped DHC 3 Otter aircraft departed from Tasu to Alliford Bay. The plane crashed in rugged terrain. The 3 occupants were killed upon impact. 32 DC4 aircraft departed Bronson Creek for Alaska. The no. 2 engine caught fire. The crew crash landed into the Iskut River. Aircraft destroyed - pilot drowned. 33 Single-engine, float DHC-3 Otter departed Ketchikan, Alaska. It crashed while flying through the Telkwa pass The pilot and passenger were killed upon impact. 34 Medical Service Flight departed from Vancouver for Masset crashed into the ocean 8 km. north of Masset. 1993 1990 The lone pilot and the ground crew escaped injuries when a helicopter operating at Tumbler Ridge lost power. Pilot accelerated and hard-landed on a sandbar. 36 A helicopter departed Mesalinka Camp. Shortly after takeoff the tail rotor and its transmission separated. Emergency landing no injuries to 3 occupants. 37 AIR BC flight. Under poor conditions: winter visibility, tailwind and contaminated landing surface; the craft overran the runway. No injuries to 16 occupants. 38 A flight seeing aircraft charter departed from Stewart BC. It later crashed on a snow covered glacier. The pilot and 5 passengers were killed on impact. 39 A chartered helicopter flight from Houston to Mt. Morice. The craft struck a ridge about 2.5 km from departure. The pilot and 4 passengers were killed on impact. 40 An amphibious de Havilland DHC-2 Beaver departed from a fishing resort for Sandspit. It crashed reason unknown. The pilot and 1 passenger were killed. 41 An amphibious Grumman Goose aircraft departed Seal Cove for Gingolx. It had engine problems and crashed. The pilot and 4 passengers were killed on impact. 42 Small aircraft departed from Bronson Creek Airstrip to Terrace. Aircraft crashed. The 4 occupants were killed on impact.
