Nanjing the perfect place for your business The City Nanjing is the capital of Jiangsu province and the second largest city in eastern China with a total population of 8.23 million and an urban population of 6.70 million in 2015. The city whose name means Southern Capital has a prominent place in Chinese history and culture, having served as the capitals of various Chinese dynasties, kingdoms and republican governments dating from the 3 rd century AD to 1949. Located in the lower Yangtze River drainage basin and Yangtze River Delta economic zone, Nanjing is home to one of the world s largest inland ports. Nanjing is also one of the fifteen sub-provincial cities in the People s Republic of China s administrative structure, enjoying jurisdictional and economic autonomy only slightly less than that of a province. The Exhibition Ground Nanjing International Expo Center has an exposition area of 168,000 square meters. The ultramodern Expo Center facilities include 9 exposition halls, 38 conference rooms (20 conference rooms are in the Conference Center) and a multifunction pavilion, which can host over 6,000 international standard exhibition booths. From Nanjing International Expo Center it takes 30 minutes to get to downtown, the airport or the high speed train station Nanjing South. The expo center is accessible within walking distance south west of Yuan-tong Station of Nanjing metro.
Train By high-speed train, Nanjing can be reached quickly from almost any part of China. It only takes approximately 4 hours from Beijing to Nanjing, 1 hour and 20 minutes from Shanghai to Nanjing. Flights Nanjing Lukou International Airport which is designed to convey 19 million passengers annually. The airport now services to 70 domestic cities and 30 international cities.
