In this issue are important reminders and information about the upcoming reunion, as well as news about milestones in the lives of our extended family. The 29th Bryn Family Reunion is quickly approaching. We have reserved the Sivert Thompson Activity Center at the Devils Lake Grahams Island State Park, off Highway 19, west of Devils Lake. Saturday, 6/18 1:30 Join us for a tour of the Lake Region Heritage Center, at 502 4 th St NE, Devils Lake. This is about 3 blocks from St. Olaf Lutheran Church. 3:00-4:00 PM Join us for coffee and cookies at St. Olaf s Lutheran Church in Devils Lake, in the lower level. 4:00 PM Join us for a visit to the Norway Lutheran Cemetery, where many Bryn ancestor s graves are located, west of Devils Lake. Sunday, 6/15 11:00 AM - Registration begins at the Sivert Thompson Activity Center. Parking is free at the entrance. You must stop at the Bait Shop to get your Bryn Reunion pass for your windshield. 12:30 PM - Lunch will be served. Lunch is $10 per adult; kids lunches are $4 for kids under 10 yrs old. Following lunch - Program, coffee and cake. Program Ryan Taylor & Ole Bryn will host the program. We will have the memorials and hopefully musical entertainment, as usual, and will miss Adrian Dokken, who passed away last year and always provided such an enjoyable musical program. We will also miss Orlin Oium, who has read the memorials at past reunions, and regaled us with his good stories. Anyone who would like to share Bryn trivia as part of the program should come prepared with their trivia. We will also have a raffle prize (a Kjorstad ring, donated by Bruce Hagen!), and door prizes. The silent auction will be ongoing. Please see note below about donating. 2

How can you help? Search your attic and basement for antiques and artifacts you can bring along to display. Come to the event ready to share stories about your fathers, whether they are Bryn by blood or marriage. Reunion day is also Father s Day! Others are scheduled to share their stories, and we welcome additional spontaneous story-telling! With Orlin Oium s passing, we will miss his leading the memorial program at the reunion. We will still have the memorial program. Please send any memorial requests (that we haven t noted since the last reunion) to Marin at marin@marinhagen.com or 1901 Wyoming Ave NW, #11, Washington, DC 20009. We have a list of all those sent since June 2014. Sophie Jae Carlisle, daughter of Emily and Guy Carlisle, was born December 8, 2014 in Terre Haute, Indiana. She has one brother, Guy Zavier, and one sister, Alana Renee. Great Grandparents of the bride are the late Frank and Emma Bryn Clark (7-John). Kendall Bryn Thomas, daughter of Ashley and J.T. Thomas, was born July 17, 2014 in Marshall, Indiana. She has one brother, Payton Clark Thomas. Great Grandparents of the bride are the late Frank and Emma Bryn Clark (7-John). PLEASE NOTE: No Deaths have been reported since the last newsletter was sent. We will include any recent deaths in the next newsletter, which will be sent out after the reunion in June. 5
