WHAT IS THE CORONADO AREA COUNCIL CAMPORALL? The Coronado Area Council Camporall is a weekend camping event sponsored by the Coronado Area Council. The Council Camporall is scheduled every 3 or 4 years. It is a council event that many scouts may have only one opportunity to attend. Trading Post The Coronado Council will have a Trading Post. Drinks, Snacks, and other Scouting materials brought from the Scout Shop. Leaders Guide Dates: October 6-8, 2017 Location: Kanopolis Lake Time: Check-In begins at 4:00pm Friday, October 6, 2017 The Coronado Area Council invites all Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Venture Crews, Explorer Scouts and Girl Scouts from the Coronado Council and other councils to the Coronado Council Camporall. Family members may also attend with paid registration. Camp Reservation & Registration Info: The Coronado Area Council requests units to send in the reservation form to allow the Camporall Committee ample time to prepare for the approximate number of units and scouts attending. Camp Registration: On-line registration is available and encouraged. On-line registration will begin April 10, 2017. The registration fee is $15.00 for each participant attending. On-line registration will close Monday, October 2, 2017.After October 2, 2017, units will register participants at the Camporall during their unit check-in. Camporall Registration Fee: $15.00 NOTE: There are no registration fee refunds. Unit leaders may substitute a scout or scouter for a scout or scouter that paid the registration fee. Check-In Registration: Pre-Registered Units: Upon arrival, pre-registered units will be directed toward the campsites. One leader will be directed to the Headquarters (Camp Registration Area) to check in their unit. Upon arrival, non-registered units will be directed to a holding area until the unit is checked in. One leader will be directed to the Headquarters (Camp Registration Area) to check in their unit. An Updated unit roster is necessary at check-in. This updated roster is vital for units to receive the correct amount of Camporall patches at check-out. ALL ATTENDEES MUST BE LISTED ON A UNIT ROSTER (TROOP, PACK, VENTURE CREW, GIRL SCOUT) AND REGISTERED (PAID REGISTRATION) FOR THE CAMPORALL. Check Out: All units must be checked out and departed from the Camporall Campsite by 11:00am. Units are requested to remain in their campsites until a Camporall staff member inspect their campsite and issues them their release verification. A unit leader may bring the release verification to Headquarters and receive their patches. LEAVE NO TRACE is enforced.
MEDICAL: A BSA Health & Medical form is required for all scouts and scouters. BSA requirement is Part A & B under 72 consecutive hours. BSA Health & Medical forms are the responsibility of the unit leader. The BSA Health & Medical form will not be collected or previewed by Camporall Staff. Any medications brought to the Camporall by scouts or scouters are the responsibility of the unit leaders. Vehicle Trailer Parking Info: Vehicle parking is designated, and All vehicles must be removed from campsites. Troop trailers are allowed in campsites. Parking attendants will be available on Friday (starting at 4:00pm) to direct movement and parking vehicles. Gateways: Units are encouraged to bring a U.S. Flag and their unit flag. There is no gateway competition. Religious Services: A Scout is Reverent. All scouts and leaders are asked to participate in the Sunday morning nondenominational Religious service. This is the only Religious service available at the Camporall. Campfire: Recognition and awards will be announced and presented at the Saturday evening campfire. Camporall Camping: This event is a tent camping event only. RV s campers are prohibited within the Coronado Area Council Camporall perimeter. RV s and campers will be required to park outside the Camporall perimeter and fall under the policy/guidelines of the Army Corps of Engineer. Campfires: Campsite campfires are permitted only in the Army Corps of Engineer approved fire pits. Pre-registered participants, prior to August 15, 2017, are guaranteed a Camporall patch. Participant Registrations received after August 15, 2017, will be issued a Camporall patch on a first come basis until the Camporall patches are gone.
