Kiwanda, a Shangri-La in The Rainforest A Land of Waterfalls Palo Verde National Park, Sugar Mill & Traditions Buena Vista Extravaganza at Night Wonders of Monteverde
KIWANDA, A SHANGRI-LA IN THE RAINFOREST A LAND OF WATERFALLS GUANACASTE A day full of anticipation begins... blue-green mountains and volcanoes on the horizon, small villages with peasants who walk slowly to their labors in the fields, children arriving at the schools and Sabaneros herding their livestock. Kiwanda provides a warm greeting with a variety of tropical fruits: red watermelon, yellow papaya, and white pineapple, among others. So begins our experience in a real Shangri-La. Walk among tropical trees and visit the animals of the local farm in a magical environment that resembles the farms of yesteryear, where they raised cows, piglets, goats, and chickens. The crops include cassava, corn, beans, and herbs. Visitors will enjoy the unusual experience of milking cows. After the astonishment this encounter provokes, it comes very well a recess to taste the exquisite flavors of the different cheeses produced in an artisan way.
A walk through the gardens will lead us to listen the powerful noise of a majestic waterfall that appears before our eyes. Truly impressive and breathtaking! Visitors can continue walking placidly along the paths up to a charming light blue lagoon amid tropical gardens that invites you to take an energizing dip with the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano in the background. It s time to prepare for a superb gastronomic experience served in a cozy wooden gazebo on the banks of a creek, with birds, water sounds, and trees as companions. Brimming with delicious exotic flavors in typical dishes such as banana carpaccio, corn rice, and chifrijo, made under the creative concept of the Costa Rican Chef Mauricio Dada, this is a true delight for the senses that for a few hours will get us out of everyday life. After these experiences, we return full of peace and harmony having discovered a Costa Rica that we did not imagine. Includes: Private A/C transportation, top notch guide, entrance to Kiwanda, fruit, and lunch. Remarks: Waiver required. Duration: Full day. Bring: Light casual clothes, comfortable walking shoes, change of clothes, swimsuit, sunscreen lotion, cap or hat, insect repellent, and camera. 5
