The taxis fare is approximately 18. by TRAIN to/from Santiago de Compostela Train Station There are long-distance direct trains every day from/to Barcelona, San Sebastián, Hendaya and Madrid. Barcelona: 9h30min journey with LD-AVE (you have to change trains mid-way). There are two trains per day, one leaving at 5:15 and another one leaving at 7:48. Tickets are approx. 60 /one way. Madrid: 5h journey with ALVIA (the fastest train). There are two trains per day leaving from Madrid-Chamartin Train Station, one at 9:15 and the other one at 15:00. Tickets are approx. 20 (but you have to book in advance, otherwise prices increase to around 50 ). Tickets can be booked at: www.renfe.com (official site) or www.trainline.eu (trains for the whole Europe). Tickets are available from 62 days in advance.

There are 3 options: Socitransa: if you re travelling from northern Europe FlixBus: from France Alsa: from other cities of Spain and Portugal By CAR AP-9 Atlantic Motorway: it connects Santiago de Compostela with A Coruña, Ferrol, Pontevedra, Vigo, Tui and the border of Portugal. Expressway North-East A-6: it connects Galicia to the rest of Spain through the regions of Lugo (junction with Santiago de Compostela by the AP-9, around A Coruña). Rapid Route of the Rías Baixas A-52: it connects Galicia to the rest of Spain by the province of Ourense (junction with Santiago de Compostela by the AP-9 to Vigo or by the N-525 to Ourense). Expressway Cantabrian A-8: it connects Galicia to France by the Cantabrian coast (junction with Santiago de Compostela by the Expressway Northeast A-6). Toll: Many motorways in Spain are subject to a toll charge. At the toll stations, you are able to choose between a manual or an automatic toll payment. Please find more information here.
