MAIN AUDITORIUM The Main Auditorium is an ideal venue space for large-scale gala events, ceremonies, concerts and performances. It is the largest single space in Brisbane City Hall and is one of the most photographed and renowned parts of the building. Its circular design with fluted pilasters around the perimeter, is based on the Pantheon of Rome. The high ceiling forms the background to the room s focal point a 23 metre high central lantern surrounding by the incredible dome ceiling backlit with 8,500 LED lights. The newly restored timber floor, large stage, semicircular balcony and grand organ are surrounded by a decorative frieze by world renowned Australian artist, Daphne Mayo whose sculptures features on the exterior of Brisbane City Hall. THE HAMILTON LOUNGE A unique space within Brisbane City Hall for events looking for that something extra special. Beautifully presented using the finest finishes and furnishings, The Hamilton Lounge brings the ultimate in style and grandeur to Brisbane. Boasting its own lounge area featuring the original rate payers desk lovingly restored and now in service as a deluxe bar. Surrounded by club like furniture the Lounge area provides a welcome retreat for drinks after a business conference day or, the perfect location for pre-dinner drinks for your VIP guests and dignitaries. Moving through to the dining room, a show kitchen offers an intimate view of our EPICURE chef s at work. This multi-function space can be used for a private dinner for 20-150 guests or set in cocktail mode for the ultimate sophisticated gathering. The Hamilton Lounge is also an ideal Sponsors Lounge, VIP space or supper lounge for after show or gala events. TOOWONG ROOM With entry from the Adelaide Street and King George Square foyers, this spacious pre-function room is located on the ground level and features ample natural light flowing from the arch windows facing Adelaide Street and an internal light-well. The room is ideally suitable for pre and post-event gatherings for Main Auditorium events, but can also be used for seated banquets, as well as presentations, seminars, training sessions and workshops. SANDGATE ROOM With entry from the Ann Street foyer and the King George Square foyer the Sandgate features beautiful arch windows facing Ann Street. It offers direct access to the Enogerra Courtyard creating an indoor/outdoor venue. The Enogerra Courtyard features cobble stones discovered in the excavation of the Main Auditorium to make way for the new commercial kitchen now underneath. In all, 443 cobblestones from a paved street built in the 1870s or 1880s were discovered. The room is ideally suitable for pre and post-event gatherings for Main Auditorium events, but can also be used for seated banquets, as well as presentations, seminars, training sessions and workshops. SHERWOOD ROOM The Sherwood is conveniently located on the ground floor of Brisbane City Hall and is accessible from the Ann Street foyer. The heritage windows are a key feature of this room, with natural light entering from Ann Street. BRISBANE ROOM The Brisbane, with its high ceiling, polished timber floors and grand chandeliers will take your breath away. It was officially opened as a public space in April 1980 when a time capsule was inserted into one of the decorated pillars. The time capsule will be re-opened on 11 April 2030. BALMORAL SUITE BALMORAL SUITE AREA BANQUET COCKTAIL BOARD ROOM The Balmoral Suite includes the Balmoral, Oak Table, Windsor and Belmont s that can be hired individually or collectively. This special suite of rooms are the Lord Mayors Civic function rooms available for private events on weekends and on some evenings. The Balmoral is a popular venue for cocktail parties, wedding receptions and formal dinners, as well as business meetings, seminars, training sessions and presentations. The room has windows overlooking the northern light well. The Windsor s floor to ceiling windows overlooking King George Square defines this elegant space. The room is ideally suited to wedding ceremonies, seated events and cocktail parties, as well as business meetings. As its name suggests, its long heritage-listed oak table defines The Oak Table. Advanced digital sound, lighting and wireless technology makes this an ideal room for boardroom style events over breakfast, lunch or dinner. The smallest of the rooms in the Balmoral Suite, the Belmont is ideal for a private dinner or lunch meeting or the most intimate of celebrations. ITHACA AUDITORIUM The newly restored Ithaca Auditorium is a large, pillarless room that is an ideal setting for medium-sized events such as concerts, recitals, theatrical performances, presentations, conferences, gala dinners and ceremonies. Key features of the auditorium include a highcoffered ceiling, cool paint colour palette with polished wooden floors and stage. The auditorium adjoins the Ithaca Foyer and has extensive back of house spaces and facilities, including private and group dressing rooms. KEDRON ROOM The original 1920s heritage features of this room are being restored. Its generous size makes it an ideal space for conference and exhibition style events. The room has high ceiling and large windows that overlook Ann Street and the central light well. It has a rich and varied history with many different uses over its life. Originally office space, it was transformed into the City Library in the 1980s and 1990s and subsequently into the Kedron. With its direct access to the Kedron and Ithaca Auditorium, the Sister Cities is an ideal breakout room for conferences. KING GEORGE SQUARE The ultimate location for outdoor events in the centre of Brisbane City. Managed by EPICURE and offering the full catering and bar facilities available for guests inside City Hall, King George Square offers a range of spaces suitable for corporate events, product launches, Civic ceremonies, festivals, concerts and exhibitions. With over 3000sqm of useable space, King George Square can be transformed in to a giant dinner party, BBQ or cocktail reception for corporate events. Elegant marquees to ensure the event is weather proof can be provided by our preferred supplier Moreton Hire. Stall structures can also be hired, along with furniture and other event hire needs.
