Connecting. Powering. Enhancing. ENERGY RESOURCES AIRPORTS TRANSPORTATION HOSPITALITY LIFE SCIENCES

Author of India s largest overseas greenfield investment of USD 10 billion in an integrated mine, rail and port project in Queensland, Australia. Steward of India s largest non-profit emergency service organization GVK EMRI with over 30,000 employees. Pioneer in setting up projects in energy, airports and transportation sectors under Public Private Partnership (PPP) framework in India. With experience and expertise spanning diverse sectors including Energy, Resources, Airports, Transportation, Hospitality and Life Sciences; the GVK story is replete with dynamism.

GVK s diversified businesses form a multi-pronged effort to keep the nation abreast in the world arena. From setting up India s first independent power plant and building the first privately operated six-lane expressway project to developing and operating two of the busiest airports in the country and also creating landmarks in the hospitality sector, GVK s around 48000 strong workforce rises to every challenge and is committed to a standard of excellence that would create an enviable position for our country on the global map.

AIRPORTS India Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA), Mumbai GVK s foray into the aviation sector began with the modernisation of the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) in Mumbai. The project was conceived from our vision to create an airport that consistently delights customers and is the pride of Mumbai. The new integrated Terminal 2 is truly an iconic mega structure that is set to raise benchmarks in the global aviation sector. With a capacity to handle 40 45 million passengers per annum, T2 is India s first and most advanced vertical passenger terminal that integrates world class design, architecture, infrastructure and operational efficiency, with a rich infusion of Indian heritage and cultural character. The design of Terminal 2 draws inspiration from India s national bird The Peacock. It portrays the magnificent character of the White Peacock, representing flight, as well as rare beauty. The architecture of the new airport terminal quintessentially reflects India s proud heritage and draws on its rich culture. The new T2 is home to India s largest public art programme. Titled Jaya He, the 3 km long multi storey Art Museum is an expansive cultural canvas of India that stretches across 4 levels throughout the Terminal. It encompasses original art treasures sourced from various regions across the country and offers a glimpse into India s rich legacy. Approximately 7000 exquisite ethnographic objects, belonging to various centuries that date back to 200 years, have been sourced exclusively for the art program. Jaya He is a distinctive narrative of India s incredible diversity, living in multiple centuries simultaneously. Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru In line with GVK s strategic objective of expanding into airport business, GVK further increased its presence in the airports sector with the acquisition of 43% stake in the Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru. The enhanced Terminal that has been elevated in design, exteriors, facilities and infrastructure has the capacity to handle 20 million passengers per annum.

AIRPORTS It not only reflects the city s dreams, but also embraces the culture, ethos and landscape of the state of Karnataka. It is at par with the best in the world in terms of conveniences, with double the existing area, facilities to host some of the largest aircraſts, and world-class technologies. The design of the airport roof draws inspiration from a smile reflecting the true spirit of the city where people are always cheerful and fun-loving. The new infrastructure is built on the existing facility s efficient and passenger-friendly design, while incorporating elements of the region that it serves. Currently, GVK handles a combined traffic of about 44 mppa at these two airports. Both the airports are performing well and have received many accolades for their customer service and sustainability initiatives. Both these airports have been recognised with LEED Gold certification for their environmental friendly initiatives. Envisioning future urban requirements, GVK plans to develop Mumbai s Skycity and Bangalore s Airport City with world-class hospitality, commercial, retail and entertainment facilities. Indonesia Aſter establishing itself as a major player in the airports sector in India, GVK is expanding its wings to mark its presence in the global arena. GVK is developing two airports in Bali and Yogyakarta, Indonesia. GVK has signed an MoU with the Government of Indonesia to develop an international greenfield airport in Yogyakarta, Central Java. As per the operations and management contract with The Airports Authority of Indonesia, Angkasa Pura Airports, (AP1) to the company is managing non-aeronautical commercial operations at Bali International Airport under a fi ve-year period. Major contracts have been awarded to Dufry International and DFS through a global competitive tender process, to manage duty free and retail space at the Airport.

ENERGY Energy is one of the most critical components of infrastructural development that affects economic growth and well-being of a nation. A strong foundation of infrastructure is essential for sustained growth of the Indian economy. GVK, with its efficient power plants and backward integration is committed towards contributing its share to the country s energy bank. GVK set up India s first independent power plant and expanded itself to a slew of dual fuel (gas/naphtha based), thermal (coal based) and hydro power projects. GVK has initiated several power projects across the country, with a cumulative capacity of around 6000 MW. Projects under operation 217 MW Jegurupadu CCPP Phase 1, Andhra Pradesh 228 MW Jegurupadu CCPP Phase 2, Andhra Pradesh 469 MW Gautami CCPP, Andhra Pradesh Projects under construction and development 800 MW Jegurupadu CCPP Phase 3, Andhra Pradesh 800 MW Gautami CCPP Phase 2, Andhra Pradesh 540 MW Goindwal Sahib Thermal Power Project, Punjab 2x660 MW Coal based Thermal Power Project, Punjab 330 MW Shrinagar Hydro Electric Project, Uttarakhand 850 MW Ratle Hydro Electric Project, Jammu & Kashmir 146 MW Bogudiyar Sarkari Bhyol Hydro Electric Project, Uttarakhand 200 MW Mapang Bogudiyar Hydro Electric Project, Uttarakhand

RESOURCES Addressing the power needs of the country has started putting immense pressure on the coal demands. GVK started its exploration in the global arena to address these demands. GVK has acquired 79% stake in Alpha Coal project and Alpha West Coal project and 100% stake in Kevin s Corner project in Queensland from Hancock Pty. Ltd. These projects hold estimated reserves of about 8 billion tonne and a capacity of over 80 million tonne per annum. When combined, these projects will create one of the largest thermal coal mining operations in the world. GVK has also acquired 100% stake in the 500 km rail line and a 60 million tonne per annum port as part of the pit-to-port logistics solution. The project envisages an investment of USD 10 billion. This acquisition was awarded the Asia Deal of the Year and Asia Outbound Investor of the Year at the 8th Asia Mining Congress 2012, Singapore. With all major approvals from State and Federal Govts, GVK s Galilee Basin projects are in most advanced stage and further solidify our position as leading infrastructure developers in the country. India - Tokisud & Seregarah The coal mining operations at Tokisud North Sub Block and Seregarah Block are a strategic backward integration move supporting the Goindwal Sahib Coal Fired Power Project. The Tokisud open cast mining block, located 50 km north-west of Ranchi city in the state of Jharkhand, is being developed into a captive coal mine. Both the blocks have huge mineable reserves and together will cater to the fuel requirements of GVK s upcoming Goindwal Sahib Thermal Power Project in North India.

RESOURCES Oil and Gas GVK has partnered with BHP Billiton, one of the world s largest diversified resources companies, for exploring seven deep-water oil and gas blocks (awarded under NELP VII) located in the frontier deep water basins off the west coast of India spread across 36000 sq. km of area. State-of-the-Art over/under 2D seismic data has been acquired and processed over the entire block areas to image sub-basalt layers. Identifying Oil & Gas as a high potential growth segment, GVK is currently interpreting the latest seismic data to move further in the direction of finding new hydrocarbon resources in hitherto completely unexplored geological play to ensure growth and progress in this segment. The major exploration work has been planned over the next two years, which includes mapping of lead/ prospects, to gather new 3D seismic API in priority areas and to drill a few exploratory wells.

TRANSPORTATION Roads With India s growing economy and expanding infrastructure needs, better road connectivity and a developed transport infrastructure is considered one of the key enablers of economic growth. GVK has set off at an accelerated pace in this segment. GVK s Jaipur Kishangarh project, India s first privately operated six-lane expressway has received national and international accolades for its quality and timely execution and excellent operational and maintenance standards. GVK has other road projects of over 2200 lane km under various stages of construction and development. Project under operation Jaipur - Kishangarh Project, Rajasthan (542.4 lane km) The project has been lauded as.an expressway to progress. Completed six months ahead of schedule, it is a display of futuristic excellence and reinforces GVK s status as a leading infrastructure player.
