More specifically for our department in Igoumenitsa 7 Our Department in Igoumenitsa is located by the sea. It has two sectors : Tourism & Hospitality Management and Business Administration In Business Administration students have to choose between two study directions 1)business administration 2)applied foreign languages in business and economy.
More specifically for our department in Igoumenitsa 8 Depending on the direction that you choose you have more courses of your specialty. But all directions have same basic courses. In the last semester we have to present a dissertation and make our internship in a business which specializes in our sector so we will be prepared for our professional career. Major importance is given to foreign languages because they are the future of businesses.

Other students benefits 12 Our department has a well organized library with many books for our studies but it also has books for every scientific field. We also have labs especially for IT courses. Moreover we have free of charge student restaurant. And last but not least we have the university dormitory.
4 International Conferences 13 In our department there have been held 4 International Conferences. The conferences were held at 2005,2007,2011,2015. The topic was Foreign Language Teaching in Tertiary Education The 4 th conference was more specialized in Economy and Foreign Languages.

The city of Igoumenitsa 15 Igoumenitsa is a very important town because it connects Greece with Italy and generally with many Greek and foreign ports. It s port is the second biggest port in Greece after the one in Piraeus. There are many itineraries and ships so the access is easy and quick. The access to Igoumenitsa has became easier with Egnatia road which connects the city with many other cities in Greece.
The city of Igoumenitsa 16 In only 3 km there are the beach of Drepanos and Makrigiali.In the summer months there is very frequent public transportation which particularly helps the students. It is cited across the captivating and graphic Corfu in which you can arrive in 1 hour.
The city of Igoumenitsa 17 Also nearby are the exotic Paxoi-Antipaxoi and Lefkada. Furthermore, the well-known and tourist-loved Syvota is cited only 20 minutes away. Moreover many beaches are sited in Plataria and Perdika, pretty sea villages 30 minutes away from Igoumenitsa.
The city of Igoumenitsa 18 The city of Igoumenitsa has a natural beauty because it combines the sea with the forest. It has many cafes, bars, restaurants for all tastes. Most of them have exquisite view of the sea. There is a picturesque sidewalk with many shops where you can either shop or have your coffee.
Athletic Activities 19 In addition, there is a special pastime with sports: There are volleyball, football, basketball, tennis courts. Also, there is a stadium and many public courts. And many martial arts clubs. And last but not least, as we are in a city by the sea there is a Marine Sport Club with many activities
One special place for the city 20 It is the cycling road and a sidewalk at the same time. A quite and beautiful road by the sea among nature where you can ride a bicycle, run or just walk. From there you can see the whole city.
The city has a unique archaeological museum 21 It is organized architecturally in three levels, ensuring also the access for people with disabilities. There is a video projection room, a multipurpose room and a museum café The function of the multipurpose room on the ground floor is complementary to the permanent exhibition, since, apart from educational programs, it will also host periodic exhibitions and other events.
The Folklore museum 22 It is a new museum of culture and tradition. In the museum are exhibited and stored ; Gorgeous hand- loom treasures Authentic costumes Embroidery textiles mainly of our area Many other utilitarian objects of everyday life There are more than 2000 objects which transfer you to another era.
