Museums The Palace of the Inquisition at Main Gate Street; * The Maritime Museum on the Vittoriosa Waterfront. * *During the three days of the Birgu Festival, there will be a special price of 2 for the entrance of both museums Malta at War Museum Couvre Porte *During the BirguFest festival, entrance to this Museum will be half price. Children under the age of sixteen and Birgu s residents enter free. Exhibitions during BirguFest 2011 1. Auberge de France Hilda Tabone Street Found in Hilda Tabone Street, this Auberge previously owned by the French Knights is the only French Auberge, still extant in Malta, as the one in Valletta was destroyed during the Second World War. The following exhibitions will be set up in this unique Auberge. C.S. Lawrence Azure & Ochre Art Exhibition

Auberge of England entrance from Mistral Street, Situated in Mistral Street, the Auberge d Angleterre, with its unique characteristics is te only auberge that the English Knights had in Malta. The following exhibition will be set up: I Gioelli di Nina 4. Audio Visual Show The Dominican Hall in Convent Street An exhibition of works and the dramatic talent enriching the Delfini Ferrieha Dramatic Company, currently under the directorship of Fr. Claudio Borg, O.P. Each show will last about 25 minutes and will be screened on the hour, commencing at 7.00pm. 5. Norman House North Street One of the oldest houses found in Birgu and which has a unique Siculo-Norman features will be open to the public for free. 6. St. John Tower Interactive Tour of the Great Siege for Kids organised by the 1 st Cospicua Scout Group. Children in groups of 10 accompanied by at least one adult each will meet at the main gate of the St. John s

Tower, where they will be met by Francesco Balbi di Corregio who will recount the fateful day of the 7 th August 1565 when the Turks had nearly made it into Birgu. Children will then be accompanied to another area of the headquarters where they will meet Grandmaster La Vallette. Children will have the opportunity to play games, which all have basis in history. This tour is free of charge and will start on the hour starting from 7:00pm onwards. Street Decoration Used during Feasts Street decorations used mainly in the two annual feasts may be seen in different locations of the City Food Stands The Birgufest organisers have allowed the use of food and drink stalls selling traditional Maltese delicacies at Vittoriosa s main Victory Square, St. John s Tower Street,, the Belvedere found in La Vallette Street and Main Gate Street Parking Parking arrangements have been made at the Football ground at Fortini. The Local Council have also reached agreement with Parkwell Ltd to organize a Park and Ride service from - the Palumbo Shipping Parking area (ex- dockyard in Ghajn Dwieli) - Military Mission Road, Kalkara - Garden Road (Council of Europe Street) on the outskirts of Zabbar - the parking area of the Hibernians Football ground in Paola Water Taxi The Local Council has reached agreement with the water taxi (dghajsa) owners to provide a service from the Old Customs House in Valletta and from Senglea to Birgu.
