Driving instructions to Kotor Vista and Kotor Muo from Dubrovnik airport We will assume you are coming straight from the airport. If you are not doing so, please inform us so we can plan accordingly. Turn left onto the main road upon exiting the Dubrovnik airport Drive for approximately half an hour until you reach the Croatian border. Pass through this border and then the Montenegrin border. You will need your green card ( provided by your car hire company and included when booked through Explore Montenegro, driving license, passport for all members of the party. Passport must be valid 3 months after your planned departure date from Montenegro. Drive for approximately 20km through Herceg Novi, Kumbor, Djenovici, Baosici and Bijela into Kamenari. In Kamenari take the car ferry across the Bay of Kotor it takes 10 minutes and bookings are not possible a typical wait for the next ferry is 15 minutes more in summer months. Buy a ticket at the kiosk on the waterfront by the access point to the ferries. The price for a car and all passengers is 4.50 Euros one way only single journeys may be purchased. The ferry service operates 24 hours a day with limited crossings after midnight.
Upon exiting the ferry turn right (picture above) towards Tivat and drive on for 10km until you get to a roundabout (Before the roundabout you will pass Tivat Airport) Take the last exit at the roundabout towards Kotor. You will pass the bowling alley and pizza restaurant on the right after half a kilometre. After a further kilometre you will enter the Vrmac Tunnel which is around 1.7 kilometres long (no toll). On exiting the tunnel follow the road downhill for a little over a kilometre passing a long low, (rather run down) warehouse (picture no1). Continue a further 400 meters downhill to a mini roundabout at the bottom of the hill (picture ) and take 3 rd exit to your left. There you will see a sign for the Hotel Splendido. no1 Continue driving and when you pass the Muo sign (after 600m picture no1) on your right, drive for a further 500m (pay attention on your kilometer meter) till you see the turning to Kotor Vista on your left which winds steeply uphill (picture ).
NB If you see a sign for Kotor VIEW not Kotor VISTA you have gone too far. Turn sharp left up the hill sign for 30 metres and take the right fork. Continue to climb for 300 metres up a road which winds to the left up to the parking area for Kotor Vista. Find an available parking space, ideally at the near end of the development. Park your car and go up the steps to the swimming pool and to the right of the pool you will find the reception and key collection point for both Kotor Vista and Kotor Muo guests. Our representative will give you the key to your apartment and show you to your property. Should he not be there at that moment, he is showing other guests in and will be back in 10 minutes. Just take a seat at the reception area. Just for Kotor Muo Guests: The receptionist will take you to Kotor Muo where your apartment and parking space are located.
