Fee is $25.00 per car. Car judging will be held begin at noon. The awards will be presented at 3:00 p.m. Dash plaques will be given to the first 100 entries. Categories include: production cars from 1900-1989, street rods, modified cars from 1949 to present, mini cars and trucks, motorcycles and vehicles that are currently under construction. There are a total of 37 categories. All cars must enter the park from the back, following the signs. For more information, contact James Hicks at 601-0319. Cute Kid Picture contest Do you think you have the cutest children or grandchildren? Then enter their picture in the Cute Kid Contest. A picture contest for children 12 and under will be held on Saturday at the Celebration. 8 x 10 unframed and unmated photos must be brought to event by 10:00 a.m. to be included in the contest. They can also be brought to Singleton Community Center, by noon on Thursday, September 25. All pictures will be displayed at the Bartlett Festival and ribbons will be awarded. The pictures are judged by you, the spectators. Winners will be determined at 2:00 pm. Photos must be an 8 x 10. Entry fee is $5.00 per photo, no more than two photos per child. Hot Air Balloons Over Bartlett (weather permitting) Southern Nights-Southern Lights Balloon Glow and Tether Rides benefiting the Bartlett Education Foundation At dusk on Friday evening Hot Air balloons will inflate from a pile of fabric into a field of color in Freeman Park. A limited number of Tether rides will be available for $10.00 per person or $20 family (up to 4 people). Grahamwood Elementary Cheerleaders City of Bartlett Exhibits City Informational Booth Located at the front entrance of the park, the city booth will include information about the city services, departments, including information on the Bartlett Performing Arts & Conference Center. They will also be selling the Celebration shirts and the Limited Edition Bartlett Christmas Ornament featuring Bartlett City Schools. Brick orders for Veterans Park will also be sold at the city booth. This will be the last chance to purchase a brink to be installed for the 2014 Veterans Day Ceremony. Bartlett Animal Shelter (Pavilion area) Promoting animal awareness and raising funds for the shelter, the booth will include a variety of pets available for adoption.
Bartlett Police Department (Left side of park in Children s area) Promoting neighborhood watch programs, juvenile ID s and the DARE program and information on becoming a Bartlett Reserve Police Officer. Bartlett Fire Department The fire department will provide public educational informational materials and emergency medical services. The Fire Department will be located next to the Concessionaires & the Car Show in the back of the park. This will also be the location for Lost and Found and First Aide. In the Field Additional Activities PBJ Mid-Way Carnival A good old fashion mid-way carnival with something for everyone. The carnival will be opened on Friday evening from 6:00-9:30 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Tickets will be sold at the carnival. Tickets are $2.00 - $6.00 depending on the ride. Climbing Wall Test your skills on this 24-foot rock wall. Tickets are $5.00 a climb. Bungee Jump Have fun as you bounce in the air. Tickets are $7.00 Children s Area Petting Zoo in the Children s Area Visitor will be able to pet their favorite farm animals. The fee per visit is $2.00. Train Rides in the Childrens Area Train rides around the south side of the park will be available for a $1.00 per ride.
