Wilkommen to Germany at the world famous Hofbrauhaus Brewery. Experience one of Munich s oldest breweries founded in 1589; their name, known the world over. This evening we meet all our fellow travellers for a Welcome Dinner. Enjoy getting to know each other as we embark and discuss our sensational journey through three countries, starting off with this special Bavarian evening featuring local dishes, drink and music. Overnight at Art Hotel, Munich, Germany. (D) 3: MUNICH DACHAU FRI, OCTOBER 20, 2017 First destination after breakfast will be the historical visit to the Dachau, Concentration Camp. Venture on as we discover St. Michael s Abbey at Metten in Bavaria. Our visit to the Grandmother Abbey of our very own St. Bede Abbey founded in 766 AD will bring us back to our roots as we see the home of where it all began. 3 4 5 6 4: MUNICH OBERAMMERGAU SATUR, OCTOBER 21, 2017 After breakfast we depart to explore King Ludwig s magnificent Neuschwanstein Castle, one of the most famous German castles and copied by Walt Disney at his theme parks. Enjoy free time to make your discoveries in Fussen before we drive to Oberammergau where we will check in and then dine at the Wittelsbach Hotel. Overnight at Wittelsbach Hotel, Oberammergau, Germany. (B, D) 5: OBERAMMERGAU SUN, OCTOBER 22, 2017 After breakfast, experience mass in a local church, followed by a tour of Oberammergau. Take a stroll, enjoy the peace, and view the site where The Passion Play takes place. Experience a Spirited tradition within the monastery walls of the Benedictine Ettal Monastery. Here we will spend the afternoon strolling through the basilica, brewery and distillery followed by dinner. Overnight at Wittelsbach Hotel, Oberammergau, Germany. (B, D) 6: OBERAMMERGAU SALZBURG MON, OCTOBER 23, 2017 Enjoy your last German breakfast as we head on to Salzburg in Austria. Panoramic drive through the city and arrive to hotel. The balance of the day is at leisure and then get ready for dinner at St. Peter Stiftskeller, within the monastery walls of St. Peter s Archabbey. St. Peter is cited as one of the oldest restaurants in the world and the oldest in Europe. Both Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Christopher Columbus are said to have been served at the restaurant. Overnight at Mercure City Hotel, Salzburg, Austria. (B, D) 7: SALZBURG TUES, OCTOBER 24, 2017 In the morning, after breakfast, head to explore this amazing city with a local guide. Our tour will feature views of the Mirabel gardens, Helbrunn and Mozarteum. Wrap up the afternoon as you enjoy a tour of where The Sound of Music was filmed and walk in the footsteps of Julie Andrews and the Von Trapp Family Singers. Overnight at Mercure City Hotel, Salzburg, Austria. (B, L) 8: SALZBURG LJUBLJANA WEDNES, OCTOBER 25, 2017 Breakfast and afterwards we depart towards Slovenia s capital Ljubljana with few stops along the way including the Silent Night church. Arrive to Ljubljana in the early afternoon and see the most significant sights of the old city center on a walking tour. Highlights include the picturesque open-air Central Market, and the Three Bridges. The Triple Bridge is probably the most unusual and the most frequently crossed bridge in Ljubljana. Before settling down to dinner at Strelec in the original Ljubljana Castle tower, we will visit the Baroque Town Hall, and Robba s Fountain. Overnight at GH Union Hotel, Ljubljana, Slovenia. (B, D) 9: LJUBLJANA - BLED THURS, OCTOBER 26, 2017 Enjoy breakfast and have the morning free in Ljubljana before we drive to Bled. Today, take in the the views of Lake Bled from the top of Bled Castle, the oldest castle in Slovenia. The history of the medieval castle reaches back to 1004, and also includes a moat and drawbridge. We will then take a relaxing trip to the small Island of Bled on a Pletna, a traditional wooden flat-bottom boat made by locals. An experience you must do, if you visit Bled. In the afternoon drive back to Ljubljana. Gather this evening for dinner at the popular Lectar; opened for over 200 years and serves portions that won t send you home hungry. Overnight at GH Union Hotel, Ljubljana, Slovenia. (B, D) 10: JERUZALEM - VIENNA FRI, OCTOBER 27, 2017 After breakfast we begin our departure from Slovenia as we travel along the Jeruzalem Wine Road, which glows with vivid colors in every season. We will stop in Jeruzalem for wine tasting and a late lunch before our evening arrival in Vienna where you ll have opportunity to unwind from the day. Overnight at Ananas Hotel, Vienna, Austria. (B, L) 11: VIENNA SATUR, OCTOBER 28, 2017 Our morning visit will be to Hofburg Palace, once the home of the Habsberg emperors, and view the Belvedere Palace, Prater Amusement Park, the UN Buildings, St. Stephen s Cathedral and other reminders of the city s imperial past. Enjoy an afternoon of free time to venture out on your own and pick up any last souvenirs. Our farewell dinner tonight includes entertainment at Gerstners Landhaus, private room Presse. The estate, which dates back to the 12th century, will charm you with its cozy rooms, historic vaulted cellars and romantic garden. A great way to wrap up our memorable adventure of where it all began... Overnight at Ananas Hotel, Vienna, Austria. Germany Slovenia Austria October 18-29, 2017 Terms and Conditions FINAL PAYMENT IS DUE BY AUGUST 14, 2017. 1. Kollander World Travel will quote airfare from your home city. Call for a quote. 2. Baggage Allowance: Baggage fees may apply. Check with your carrier for fees and size of bags. However, the tour operator has requested that there be a limit of one (1) large suitcase at 50 pounds per person due to space restrictions aboard the motorcoach. NO RESPONSIBILITY IS INCURRED FOR LOSS OF OR DAMAGE TO BAGGAGE OR ANY OF THE PASSENGER S PERSONAL BELONGINGS. TRAVEL BAGGAGE INSURANCE IS RECOMMENDED AND AVAILABLE THROUGH KOLLANDER TRAVEL. 3. Passport Requirements: A valid passport is required of all tour participants. A U.S. passport is valid for 10 years. Your passport must be valid for at least six (6) months following your return to the United States. Kollander World Travel will be happy to help you obtain the necessary forms. 4.Tour Price Excludes: Airport departure taxes; customs user fees; passports; all visa fees; optional tours; telephone, telex, fax and telegram charges; excess baggage charges; sundry tips; laundry; beverages and food not on the regular table d hôte menu (these items will be billed to you before leaving the hotel or restaurant); portage at U.S./Canadian airports; and all other items of a personal nature. Service charges at hotels and restaurants are prepaid. Travel insurance is not included. 5. Refund and Unused or Amended Tour Arrangements: Unused hotel accommodations, tour features or services are non-refundable,nor exchangeable for other accommodations, services or features. Should there be any reason to change features of the tour for the group, any additional expenses will be charged to the tour members. If a change becomes necessary for any reason, hotels substituted will be the equivalent of those shown. Single room available at a supplemental charge. 6. Cancellation Penalties: If you cancel your reservation, your right to receive a refund is limited as set forth in the following schedules. All requests for refunds must be sent to us in writing. Charges for cancellation of the tour will be assessed by the participating airlines,tour operators, and hotels as follows: After deposit...u.s. $350.00 per person, plus insurance 60-30 days prior to departure...75 percent per person 29 days or less prior to departure...100 percent penalty and no refund Once airfare is purchased, airfare is non refundable. Cancellation charges also apply to additional accommodations reserved prior to and after the tour. 7. Insurance: While every effort is made to ensure that baggage is properly handled and that the cancellation charges to you are kept to a minimum, Kollander World Travel cannot be held responsible for damages, loss or theft of luggage or personal belongings. You may secure a policy for baggage insurance, as well as insurance against sickness or accident, or trip cancellation and interruption insurance,through Kollander World Travel. Important terms concerning pre-existing medical conditions, which are not covered, are described in the insurance brochure which will be sent for your review. 8. Revisions: A handling fee of U.S. $30.00 per transaction will be charged for any alteration or revision. A change of tour date or tour itinerary within 45 days of departure will be treated as a cancellation and new booking; regular cancellation fees apply. 9. Responsibility Clause: Kollander World Travel, Cleveland, Ohio, (hereinafter referred to as the Company ) is responsible to you in making arrangements for the tour services offered in this brochure, including transportation, sightseeing and hotel accommodations. The carriers, hotels and other suppliers providing tour services are independent contractors and are not agents, employees or servants of or joint ventures with the Company. All certificates and other travel documents for tour services issued by the Company are subject to the terms and conditions specified by the suppliers and to the laws of the countries in which services are supplied. If the services included on the tour cannot be supplied or there are changes in an itinerary for reasons beyond the control of the Company, the Company will arrange for the provision of comparable services. Any resulting additional expenses will be payable by tour participants, and any resulting savings will be refunded by the Company to tour participants. The Company reserves the right to make changes in the itinerary whenever the Company deems it necessary to the comfort, convenience or safety of the tour participants, and to cancel a tour at any time.
