YOUR NEW TRAMPOLINE - IMPORTANT PLEASE READ ASSEMBLY INFORMATION Trampoines must be assembed by an adut. They must be erected exacty in accordance with the assemby instructions, which foow. Enisting the aid of a heper wi make assemby easier. This trampoine does not require any additiona toos to assembe. Pease take an inventory of a parts before assemby and ensure that a parts isted are incuded. Aso pease take care during assemby as the manufacturing process can sometimes resut in the occasiona sharp edge and sma pieces of waste metawork. The use of goves to protect your hands from pinch points during assemby is aso recommended. Shoud there be any missing parts, the toy must not be used unti repacement parts have been fitted. Under no circumstances shoud it be positioned on a hard surface such as concrete or asphat, uness the ground under the trampoine pus the recommended freespace area is covered with a safety surface (pease refer to diagram on page 17). Exampes of suitabe surfaces are grass, sand or a pay surface intended for this use. The trampoine must be paced on a eve surface. A minimum of 2.5 metres of overhead cearance is required for this product. Adequate horizonta cearance must be maintained from objects and possibe hazards incuding eectric power wiring, tree imbs and fencing. Keep away from fire. ATTENTION - HIGH WINDS Ground stakes are the idea way to stop your trampoine frame moving whie in use. However they wi not protect against wind damage. Due to the extreme weather conditions experienced over recent years we advise that you aways disassembe your trampoine and store it away safey when high winds are anticipated. WEATHER CONDITIONS Specia care shoud be taken as weather conditions change. In particuar, a wet trampoine mat (bed) is too sippery for safe jumping. Gusty or severe winds can cause jumpers to ose contro. To reduce the chance of injury, use the trampoine ony under appropriate weather conditions. In cod weather, tongues and ips can stick to metawork at subzero temperatures. In warmer and sunnier weather, parts can become hot, and the temperature shoud be reguary checked during pay, especiay meta parts. WATER PLAY Many surfaces can become sippery during water pay. It is the responsibiity of the owner to ensure that a users of this trampoine are adequatey informed of a warnings and safety instructions. 4. Do not intentionay rebound off the Surround. Do not hang from, kick, cut or cimb on the Surround. Wear cothing free of drawstrings, hooks, oops or anything that coud get caught in the barrier. Do not attach anything to the surround that is not a manufacturer-approved accessory or part of the surround system. Enter and exit the surround ony at the surround door or opening designated for that purpose. BOUNCING 1. Aways bounce in the centre of the bed. Bouncing near the edge of the bed can ead to injury and can aso stretch the springs. 2. Avoid bouncing too high. Stay ow unti you can contro your bounce and and consistenty in the midde of the bed. 3. Learn basic bounces and body positions thoroughy before trying more advanced skis. Attempting a manoeuvre beyond present ski eves increases the chance of oss of contro. A controed jump is one where the anding is in the same spot as the take off. Before earning a more difficut manoeuvre, the preceding one shoud be performed consistenty under contro. 4. Do not attempt somersauts without proper instruction and supervision. Landing on your head or neck, even in the midde of the trampoine mat increases the risk of a broken neck, which can resut in paraysis or death. 5. To regain contro and stop your jump, bend your knees sharpy when you and. 6. Do not bounce for too ong or when tired. 7. CARE AND MAINTENANCE OF YOUR TRAMPOLINE GENERAL Your trampoine is designed to stand outside a year round and generay requires very itte maintenance. However, a itte care and forethought can add years to your trampoine s ife. Remember that the bed (mat) and frame pads are made of synthetic materias and are easiy damaged by cigarette ends, fireworks and bonfire debris. Check a nuts and bots for tightness and tighten when required. Check that a spring-oaded (pit pin) joints are sti intact and cannot become disodged during pay. Check a surfaces for sharp edges and repace when required. Retain the maintenance instruction manua. FRAME Do not sit or stand on the frame or the frame pads whie the trampoine is in use as this restricts the frames natura refex action. Oi or petroeum jey appied where the springs hook into the frame wi reduce squeaking and frame hoe wear. If surface rust appears it shoud be removed with either a wire brush or coarse sandpaper, and the area treated with a non-toxic paint. THE MAT The mat (bed) wi,over the years, be graduay weakened by the effects of utra vioet radiation. Therefore, the more it can be protected from direct sunight the onger it wi ast. A itte moud or midew shoud not harm the mat. Do make sure that shoes are removed before bouncing and ensure that any other sharp objects such as bet buckes, brooches and jeweery are removed too. THE SPRINGS Do not stand on the springs whist the trampoine is in use. Try not to bounce on to the springs. They are not designed for this sort of stress and can become stretched, misshapen and weakened. If you find you have any stretched springs, it is important to repace them as soon as possibe to avoid damage to the trampoine mat and avoid overoading and therefore damaging the remaining good springs FIRE RISKS AND DISPOSAL Never aow toys to be paced or used near a fire. When it becomes necessary to dispose of your equipment, remove a bots and disassembe. Store out of the reach of chidren unti it can be propery disposed of. METHODS OF ACCIDENT PREVENTION JUMPER S ROLE IN PREVENTING ACCIDENTS Education on the part of the user is a must for safety. Users must first earn a ow controed bounce and the basic anding positions and combinations before proceeding to intermediate skis. Jumpers must understand why they have to master contro before they can start thinking about other moves. Understanding the proper progression of skis in jumping on a trampoine must be the first esson. SUPERVISORS ROLE IN PREVENTING ACCIDENTS It is the responsibiity of the supervisors of trampoine users to provide knowedgeabe and mature supervision. They need to know and enforce a the rues and warnings set forth in this manua in order to minimize the ikeihood of accidents and injuries and to inform users of these rues. During periods of time when supervision is unavaiabe or inadequate, this may require that the trampoine be disassembed, paced in a secure area, or otherwise secured against unauthorized use. It is the responsibiity of the supervisor to be sure that the users are fuy aware of the safety guideines which are printed on the pads.
