MINISTRY OF WORKS AND TRANSPORT No. 24 2017 PROCLAMATION OF A MAIN ROAD (NUMBER 44(A)) AND THE CLOSING OF DISTRICT ROADS 1918, 1994 AND 1999: DISTRICT OF SWAKOPMUND It is hereby made known that- (a) in terms of section 22(2) of the Roads Ordinance, 1972 (Ordinance 17 of 1972), the Minister has, in the district of Swakopmund: (i) (ii) under section 22(1)(b) of the said Ordinance declared the road as described in Schedule I, shown by co-ordinates in Schedule II and indicated on sketch-map P2366 by the symbols A-B-C-D-E to be proclaimed road; and under section 22(1)(c) of the said Ordinance declared district roads 1918, 1994 and 1999 be closed as described in Schedules III, IV and V and shown on sketch-map P2366 by the symbols F-G, H-I and I-J respectively closed. (b) in terms of section 23(3) of the said Ordinance the Minister has under section 23(1)(b) of the said Ordinance the road described in paragraph (a)(i) above be declared a main road (number 44(a)). The said sketch-map shall at all times lie open to inspection at the office of the Roads Authority, Windhoek, during normal office hours. SCHEDULE I From a point (A on sketch-map P2366) at the junction with main road 44 on the farm Henties Bay Town Lands generally northwards and more and more north-north-eastwards across the said farm to a point (B on sketch-map P2366) on the said farm; thence generally north-northwestwards across the said farm to a point (C on sketch-map P2366) at the junction with main road 43 on the said farm; thence generally north-westwards and more and more westwards across the said farm to a point (D on sketch-map P2366) on the said farm; thence generally northwestwards across the said farm to a point (E on sketch-map P2366) at the junction with main road 44 on the said farm.
