CANCELLATION POLICY All request for cancellation must be made in writing to Sweetwine Travel Services. Initial deposits are non-refundable. For cancellations, the following per person cancellation fees apply. 120-90 business days prior to departure 50% of total price 89-30 business days prior to departure 75% of total price 29-1 business days prior to departure 100% of total price If a guest cancels within 90 days to departure resulting in a single supplement charge, the Guest, who is cancelling will be responsible for that charge. CODE OF CONDUCT For all tours we aim to foster an environment of respect that allows all our guests to enjoy their group vacation. Guests who are disruptive, endanger the group or the travel experience, or break local laws may be removed from the program with no refund due and at their own expense. Sweetwine Travel Services reserves the right to accept or reject any program guest. UNUSED SERVICES No refund will be made for any service included in the Tour Price that is not utilized by the guest and in the event that the guest does not utilize any part of the scheduled itinerary for any reason whatsoever, such guest shall be responsible at own additional cost for all and any substitute arrangements. NAME CHANGES No name changes can be made. In order to change participants, your original reservation must be cancelled and a new reservation made reflecting the correct configuration of guests. Any non-refundable deposits paid on the original account will not apply to the new booking. The new booking made will be subject to normal non-refundable deposit requirements. GUEST RESPONSIBILITIES Guest are required to verify that the information shown on their reservation/ registration is correct. Guests will be responsible for any and all change fees with airlines, and other providers in result of incorrectly advised names, visa and passport information. SPECIAL REQUESTS If you have a special request for a facility or service e. g. adjoining rooms or low floor, we shall pass these on to the relevant supplier but cannot guarantee that it will be met and we shall have no liability to you if it is not met. TOUR PRICES All prices are charged per person based on two persons sharing a room. Sweetwine Travel is NOT responsible for roommates or matching guests. All tour prices are based on tariffs, taxes, and rates of exchange, in effect, at the time of printing. Sweetwine Travel Services reserves the right to increase tour prices due to fluctuations in tariffs, taxes of exchange, or group reductions. These rates are subject to increase without notice. LIABILITY Sweetwine Travel Services does NOT own or operate any entity that provides goods and or services for your travel including, without limitation: lodging facilities, motor coach or other transportation companies, guides or guide services, local ground operators, providers or organizers of optional excursions, food service providers etc. All such persons and entities are independent contractors and not affiliated with Sweetwine Travel Service. As well, Sweetwine Travel Services is not liable for any negligent or willful act or failure to act on the part of any travel service provider or any third party. Washington, DC, & New York City July 11 20, 2017 (with optional extension July 20-22, 2017) TRAVEL ITINERARY Wednesday Day 1: Depart for Washington, DC Upon arrival we will be transported to the hotel. After check in explore the neighborhood. Dinner at a local restaurant. (not included in the package) Thursday Day 2: Washington DC After breakfast, we will depart for a tour of the National Museum of African American History and Culture. The Museum opened on September 24, 2016 after a long journey. It has been thirteen years since Congress and President George W. Bush authorized construction of the 400,00 square foot building which stands on a five- acre site on the National Mall, close to the Washington Monument. Dinner at a local restaurant ( not included in the package) Friday Day 3: After breakfast, We will depart for the National Museum of African American History and Culture to continue our tour of the 40,000 objects and about 35,00 artifacts on display. Saturday Day 4: After breakfast, we depart for New York City. Upon arrival we will be transported to the hotel. After check-in the afternoon is at your leisure to explore the neighborhood. Dinner is at 5:30pm at a local restaurant. Broadway play at 8pm. Sunday Day 5: After breakfast those wishing to attend church services have a choice of attending a couple of churches in Harlem Corinthian Baptist Church and Abyssinian Baptist Church (both located in Central Harlem) and/or St Patrick s Cathedral located on 5th Avenue between 50th & 51st for morning services. After church have brunch at restaurant in Harlem. Spend the day exploring Harlem; visit the Studio Museum in Harlem, stroll down 125th Street. Explore the Historic Districts in Harlem Sugar Hill, Strivers Row. Dinner in local restaurant in Harlem. Monday Day 6: After breakfast those joining us we will depart the hotel at 8am for a full day of sightseeing to include a 3-hour tour of the Statute of Liberty and Ellis Island and a visit to One World Observatory in the afternoon. For those who have already visited the other tours, a tour of 9-11 Memorial & Ground Zero and 9-11 Museum is offered. Dinner in a local restaurant. Tuesday Day 7: After breakfast, we will depart for a guided tour of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Remainder of the day is for sightseeing and shopping. Sightseeing at Empire State Building, Madison Square Gardens, Macy s Department Store and the Garment District and other sights. Dinner at a local restaurant. Wednesday Day 8: After breakfast, a day of leisure. Dinner will be at 5pm, after which we will attend Amateur Night at the Apollo Theatre. Thursday Day 9: Depart for home. Airport transportation is provided by SuperShuttle.

2-night/3-day Extension to New York State Black Heritage Tour* The Black Heritage Tour presents a fully-immersive experience exploring New York State (formerly the Dutch colony, New Netherland in a whole new way. The influence of Dutch culture in New York State is still evident today. Thursday Day 9: The tour guide will meet you at the hotel to start the journey to explore and discover New York State s hidden history, and the origins of its earliest inhabitants, while visiting state historic sites, museums, monuments and local attractions. You will journey upstate along the Historic Hudson River Pathway. We will arrive at the Mount Gulian State Historic Site for a special White Glove Tour of the home of the Verplancks, a Dutch family and James F. Brown, the self emancipated African-American family Gardner to not only view, but hold historic documents and artifacts from the period. After the tour we will depart for the hotel check-in, followed by a welcome dinner at a local restaurant. Friday Day 10: After breakfast at the hotel, we depart to Kingston for a walking tour of Kingston s Stockade District and the Senate House that includes a stop at the Ulster County Courthouse where Sojourner Truth petitioned the Grand Jury and eventually won her case to free her son, who had been illegally sold. After the tour of Kingston, we visit the Sojourner Truth Memorial in Esopus, commemorating her journey towards freedom near her birthplace. We then depart for a cruise on the Hudson River onboard the Onrust, an exact replica of the first ship built by the Dutch in the 17th Century in New York State. We return to Rhinebeck for lunch on your own and free time to shop in the popular boutiques in the village. Later in the day we will re-board our bus and depart for an 18th century farm in Red Hook for an amazing presentation with historic indigenous artifacts, objects and clothing while learning about Native American history of the five nations before Europeans arrived. Dinner at the Poughkeeepise Ice House on the Hudson. Saturday Day 11: Exploring More of Our Shared History After breakfast at the hotel, we depart for the African Burial Ground The Potter s Field at Rhineback Cemetery. We will learn about Jack, who was born in Africa, and Andrew Frazier, the self-emancipated man who fought in the revolutionary war. He and his family are buried overlooking the Potter s Field. We will visit Dutch descendant and former first lady, Eleanor Roosevelt National Site in Valkill and pass through Vanderbilt State Historic Site. The last site on the tour is the Huguenot State Historic Site, an Original Dutch village that includes Native American and African history, and a memorial gravesite of an African descendant remains that were found on the site. After the tour we depart for NYC where arrangements will be made to transfer to JFK airport for flight home. * Sites selected are subject to change without advance notice.
