Day 3: Sunday, April 03, 2011 Athens LANGUAGE DISCOVERY: Today, your Tour Manager will help you discover the origin and history of the language(s) you will experience on your tour along with key words and phrases that will help you communicate with the locals. Touring Athens, see the ruins of the Temple of Zeus, the Royal Palace, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Olympic Stadium and the incredible Acropolis (UNESCO). Today breakfast will be included. Day 4: Monday, April 04, 2011 Athens - Thermopylae - Kalambaka Travel north through central Greece to the ancient city of Thermopylae where you stop to see a monument dedicated to Leonidas, who died defending the city against the Persians. Then, stop at a local studio to see painters creating beautiful Byzantine icons. End your day in Kalambaka. Today breakfast and dinner will be included. Day 5: Tuesday, April 05, 2011 Kalambaka - Metéora - Kalambaka Today you tour Metéora (UNESCO), a unique landscape of limestone rock towers that stand nearly 900 feet tall. Over 600 years ago, Byzantine monks chose to build their monastic community perched atop these virtually inaccessible rocks. As you travel through the dazzling Peneios Valley, stop and visit one of these remote holy places. Return to Kalambaka for some leisure time. Today breakfast and dinner will be included. Day 6: Wednesday, April 06, 2011 Kalambaka - Delphi - Arachova Continue on to the ancient city of Delphi (UNESCO), one of Greece s most important religious centers during Classical times. It was here that the famous Oracle was consulted to foretell the destiny of Man. A local expert guides you on a visit to the Sanctuary of Apollo, the Doric Temple and the Theatre. Today breakfast and dinner will be included. Day 7: Thursday, April 07, 2011 Arachova - Olympia Travel along the Gulf of Corinth before crossing into the Peloponnese and the historic city of Olympia (UNESCO), a testament to the grandeur of ancient Greek civilization. Your guided visit includes the sanctuary of Zeus and the Olympic Stadium, where the first Olympic Games were held. Today breakfast and dinner will be included. Day 8: Friday, April 08, 2011 Olympia - Mycenae - Epidauros - Tolo Enjoy spectacular scenery as you cross the Arkadian Mountains en route to the ancient city of Mycenae (UNESCO). A guided visit of the excavations features the Beehive Tombs and the Lion Gate. Continue to Epidauros (UNESCO) to view the spectacular 2,300-year-old open air theater. End your day in the charming seaside village of Tolo. Today breakfast and dinner will be included. Day 9: Saturday, April 09, 2011 Tolo - Nauplion - Tolo Today, experience the seaside charms of Nauplion. Explore the old town and the imposing Palamedes Fort, situated high atop the city with commanding views. Today breakfast will be included.

Day 10: Sunday, April 10, 2011 Athens - Mykonos This morning you transfer* to the port of Athens and board the high speed ferry to Mykonos, the whitewashed jewel of the Cyclades Islands. Enjoy magnificent views as you sail across the Aegean Sea to this island paradise. Today breakfast and dinner will be included. Day 11: Monday, April 11, 2011 Mykonos Your day is at leisure. Perhaps you will visit a beautiful island beach or Mykonos Town, where traditional life continues amidst the bustling activity. Today breakfast will be included. Upon arrival, visit a winery followed by a tasting of the unique wines of Santorini that have become world-famous. Today breakfast and dinner will be included. Day 13: Wednesday, April 13, 2011 Santorini Spend the morning exploring the cultural wonders and history of Santorini. Begin by traveling through a fascinating landscape of vineyards, whitewashed chapels and volcanic cliffs to the spectacular town of Oia, where the best views of the crater are found. Later, visit the Archaeological Museum** with its impressive collection of frescoes, Byzantine works of art and sculptures of the Hellenistic period. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Today breakfast will be included. Day 14: Thursday, April 14, 2011 Santorini - Athens Bid farewell to the Greek Islands and fly back to Athens for your overnight stay. This evening, join your fellow travelers for a farewell dinner celebrating the end of a memorable trip to Greece. Today breakfast and dinner will be included. Many activities in this itinerary include walking on uneven terrain, or require significant walking at times. Some of the unique experiences, such as visiting historical areas, means accessing locations by foot because motorcoaches are restricted. If you require a walker or wheelchair, or have difficulty walking, you may not be able to access some of these areas and may want to consider an alternate Collette vacation. For cancellation on the day of departure and after: 100% of total price. For Ocean Cruises: For cancellation between 90-61 days prior to departure: cancellation fee of 35% of total price. For cancellation between 60-31 days prior to departure: 60% of total price. 30 or fewer days prior to departure: 100% of total price. For River Cruises: including Europe, Russia, Egypt and China, 90-61 days prior to departure: cancellation fee of 50% of total price. For cancellation between 60-31 days prior to departure: cancellation fee of 85% of total price. For cancellation 30 or fewer days prior to departure: cancellation fee of 100% of total price. For Galapagos and Antarctica: A cancellation fee of 60% will apply for cancellation between 120-90 days prior to departure; A cancellation charge of 100% will apply for cancellation less than 90 days prior to departure. For Oberammergau: Non-refundable deposit will be retained. A cancellation fee of 75% will apply for cancellation between 120-90 days prior to departure; A cancellation charge of 100% will apply for cancellation less than 90 days prior to departure. If waivers have not been purchased and a reservation is cancelled for any reason prior to departure - Air is 100% non-refundable once paid in full. According to mythology Delos was the birthplace of Apollo, the God of sun, light, music, harmony and beauty and was considered the holiest of sanctuaries. A locally guided walk thru the ruined city and sanctuaries will lead you along the Lions Walk, the theatre and show you the famed Naxos marble lions. Along the way, wander through the maze of ruined houses, once inhabited by wealthy Athenians, and feast your eyes on the exquisite mosaics - some so well preserved they appear to have been created only yesterday. Starting in the charming port center, begin this island tour by walking through the small narrow streets, where the labyrinth of the old town will captivate you. See the famous windmills, the small port and the historic churches in town. Later, explore the island by bus, seeing the most famous beaches and the unique inner landscape. See fishermen and kaikis, small chapels and houses built in the typical Cycladic style. In the second main village of Mykonos, visit the monastery Palagia Tourliani, built in the 16th century. Santorini Sunset Dinner in Oia Village $75 USD Travel to the northern part of the island to Oia (pronounced Ia ), the most famous and picturesque of all Santorini s villages. Known throughout the world for its quiet life and fantastic sunsets, this beautiful village is situated on top of an impressive cliff, and offers spectacular views over the volcano of Palia and Nea Kameni and the island of Thirassia. Oia is a traditional village with charming houses in narrow streets, blue domed churches, and sun-bathed verandas. Many artists fell in love with the area and settled there and their studio's dot the village today. Enjoy some free time to visit the old castle, wander the streets, stroll through some of the many art galleries or take some breathtaking photos.
