YOUR ITINERARY MEXICO CITY MODERN & ZONA MACO FEBRUARY 6-11, 2018 TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 6: DEPART HOME / MEXICO CITY, MEXICO Arrive independently in Mexico City and transfer to Hotel Carlota, a stylish boutique hotel in the historic and eclectic Cuauhtémoc neighborhood, close to the Paseo de la Reforma, where hip stores and cutting-edge buildings line the streets. JJoin a lecturer tonight who will talk about the global art market before our welcome dinner at the hotel s restaurant. D WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 7: MEXICO CITY Begin the day with a private, before-hours tour of the Júmex Museum, the largest private contemporary art collection in Latin America, in a building designed by David Chipperfield. Continue to Zona Maco, where we have been granted early VIP access. Following lunch, explore some of the exciting galleries of the Roma district before an early dinner at Contramar, famed for its seafood. This evening, enjoy a private, afterhours tour of the Museum of Anthropology, focusing on its great halls dedicated to the Aztecs and Mayas. The museum s impressive buildings and grounds were designed by Pedro Ramírez Vázquez. B, L, D THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 8: MEXICO CITY The morning is reserved for a private meeting with economists from the Bank of Mexico (pending confirmation). Then a tour of the main campus of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) will introduce its unique, UNESCO-recognized synthesis of modernist architecture, engineering, design, and fine arts, and include a stop at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MUAC), added in 2008. Lunch is at nearby Azul y Oro, celebrated for its creative reinventions of traditional Mexican recipes. In the afternoon, join a panel of local journalists for an insider s view of current events in Mexico, before attending an after-hours cocktail reception at the Palace of Fine Arts. Dinner and the balance of the evening are at leisure. B, L, D FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 9: MEXICO CITY The morning is reserved for a private briefing from members of Mexico s diplomatic corps (pending confirmation). Then embark on a tour of the Zócalo (main square), where remnants of Aztec

B, L, D SUNDAY, FEBRuary 11: MEXICO CITY/ HOME Following a morning at leisure, explore the Sullivan Garden of Art, an outdoor art market, and the legendary flea market Mercado La Lagunilla. Alternatively, walk to the nearby El Eco Experimental Museum for some independent time before transferring to the airport for flights home.
