Friday 27 April Welcome Party 21.30 02.00 TAC: Vonderweg 1 Entrance 3,- On Friday night we kick off the Queen s Day Weekend at TAC. Here you can have a drink, chat with people, dance and even see some art! TAC, Temporary Art Centre, organizes a creative event called Half om Half. Half om Half is an event with a mix of music, visuals and silk screen prints with juicy and unique designs that will be printed on T-shirts and bags this night. There's a design contest, three designs will win and be printed during the event. The rest of the designs will be exposed in TAC. It will be a fun, energetic, danceable night. The music is a mix of house, electro, techno and dubstep. Special attention goes to several artists and the silk screen printing. Saturday 28 April Van Gogh Walking Tour 09.00 18.00 Start from the main train station in Eindhoven (centre side) If you like to see a bit of Dutch culture and like to be active, then this is the tour for you! The total walking distance is 25km, and shall take about 7 hours. During the hike we will have two breaks of 1 hour each. People who are late or who don't want to walk the full route can join or leave us there and take the bus back to Eindhoven Centre (see below). Please bring good shoes (preferably boots) as we shall walk through nature and forest as well. We hope the weather god s will favor us, but just in case take care of an umbrella (this is the Netherlands). The schedule of the hike: PART 1: (9km - 2 hour). A walk through residential area, where we see the house from Philips, a graffiti area to see cool paintings like those: http://bit.ly/xeoi1k. Further we walk to parks, lakes, forest, a castle and castle garden and nice nature. Rest from 11.00-12.00 PART 2: (9km - 2 hour). The watermills - We shall walk through nice nature to see two ancient watermills that both appeared in works from Vincent van Gogh. The first mill is from the 13 th century, the second from the 11 th century. At the first mill (11.00-12.00) the millers will explain the process of producing real oil and flower. Then we walk along the river in the beautiful nature area De Zeggen, to get to the second mill (around 14.00-15.00) where we can have a drink and something to eat. Rest from 14.00-15.00 PART 3: (7km - 3 hour). We will continue our route to the center of the Village Nuenen (arrival around 15.30), also known as Van Gogh Village, because this Dutch painter made 25% of his work here in the 19 th century. Historians call it The Nuenen Period. We shall also visit a traditional windmill. Rest and food at the mills During the hike we shall rest several times. You also have opportunities to get some food.
11.00-12.00 At the Collse Watermill you can buy some food like: traditional Dutch pea soup (erwtensoup), bread with Dutch cheese, cooked eggs, Belgium fries (own expense). 14.00-15.00 Opwettense Watermill 17.00-17.45 Roosdonck Windmill, you can get some tea with a Dutch syrop waffle (stroopwafel) (own expense). Options to join later If you only want to do a part of the route. You can join us on the way. First option At 10.11 take Bus 6 (direction Nuenen) and leave the bus at 10.17 bus stop Koudenhoven. If you miss that bus you can also try bus 55 (direction 't Hofke) and leave the bus at 10:32 at bus stop Pagelaan. Wait at the bus stop and you will be picked up by us. Second option At 13:41 take Bus 6 (direction Nuenen) and leave the bus at 13:47 bus stop Koudenhoven. Wait at the bus stop and you will be picked up by us. Third option At 14.17 Bus 55 (direction 't Hofke) and leave the bus at 14:32 bus stop Pagelaan. Wait at the bus stop and you will be picked up by us. Fourth option It s possible to only join the part in Nuenen. There are several buses going: Bus 6, 22 and 122. It is absolutely worth to join, as we visit places about Van Gogh's life and the inside of a working windmill. We shall be in Nuenen around 15.30 at Van Gogh's house. City Tour s Hertogenbosch 11.30 17.00 Start from in front of the train station in s Hertogenbosch (centre side) Get to know a bit of general history, walk in the modern city area of Den Bosch and relax in the nature. Good to know: the official name of the city is 's Hertogenbosch, but most people call it Den Bosch. Start location: We will start at the Central Train Station. Somewhere between the busses and the fontain. Look for the red-white-yellow flag. We gather at 11.30. We'll start the citytour at 12.00! In the meanwhile you can buy a Bossche Bol (a typical pastry from the city) in order to get some energy for the walk! We walk around the city for about 2 hours. Lunch: From 14.00 till 15.00 we will have lunch (own expense). The place depends on the weather. Photo Puzzle: During lunch/at the end of lunch we'll make groups and hand out the puzzle instructions. At 15.00 we'll start the puzzle tour competition. The first group to return will get a nice CS present. The tour/puzzle will end at 17.00 latest. Sunday 29 April Picnic in the park (weather dependent) 12.00 14.00 Karpendonkse Plas Let s have a picnic in the park, next to the water! Bring your own food and drinks. Please note that most supermarkets are closed on Sundays. Whether it s for breakfast or lunch we will have a scenic picnic in the park. Bring whatever food you like. We try to arrange something soft to sit on, but to be sure bring a towel! Since it is a public place we want to ask you to keep the place nice and clean. Bringing alcoholic drinks is your own responsibility! At many places outdoor alcohol is prohibited. After the picnic you can get active again by joining the outdoor games. Karpendonkse Plas

Outdoor games (weather dependent) 14.00 17.00 Karpendonkse Plas Get active again! Play (some typical Dutch) outdoor games together. The group will be split up in different teams. Every team will play the same games and get a score. Some games are traditional Dutch games. The games are not difficult, but just fun and a good way to get to know each other better. Local couchsurfers will prepare dinner for you in their house. Please subscribe and pay ( 5,-) before 20 April so the cooks know how much food to prepare.
