SUGAR LOAF SAMS On December 1, 2014 Sugar Loaf Sams Chapter held its Annual Christmas Party at First Electric Meeting Room. Meeting was called to order by our President Diane Plummer. We had 34 members present with one guest, Diane s daughter, Julia. Pledge of Allegiance was led by Don Gibson. Pat Smith called the roll with 100% attending except the two couples in Texas for the winter. The minutes were read from last month. Treasurer s report was given by Paul Beaton. At the last meeting we decided to take up an offering for two other charities. The money was counted and then three of our members will decide where to give the money and make a report at the next meeting. Paul Beaton handed out the four checks for our charities. Harold Stribling handed out name plaques to our two sets of new members. (These plaques were made by Paul Smith, out Woodsman.) Felix and Betty Paterek are living in their park model in LaFeria Texas for the winter. Betty had a slight stroke a few days ago, but is recovering very well. She will remain in the rehabilitation unit until she can get around by herself. Please send cards to 1201 N Main, La Feria, TX 78559 Lot #290. Just talked to Felix and he said to tell everybody HI! They beat her up and assaulted her. She has 3 children living close by, but Rich & Pat wanted to drive to Nebraska to see if they could help in anyway. Your prayers are needed for Rich and Pat and his sister. The next meeting will be January 28 th at Bentleys in Greers Ferry. Meeting adjourned.
