Site Visit The unique site visit to Matanzas Bay allowed participants to witness first hand Unión Cuba- Petróleo s (CUPET) operations there in collaboration with China s state-owned drilling contractor, Great Wall. Both are jointly drilling the 8,255 metres long, horizontal well, Varadero Oeste 1008 located near the city of Matanzas, around 100km from Havana an area with lots of oil drilling and production activity.
