The purse was placed into property for safekeeping. MENACING: Megan McCoonell of Mt Sterling, OH reported person(s) unknown tied a bird to the tree in the front yard of her residence. NEIGHBOR DISPUTE: Rosalea Heckert of Jeffersonville reported the landlord of Walnut Lake Campground confronted her about a vehicle parked in the grass and a verbal argument ensued. THEFT: John Boltenhouse of Washington CH reported person(s) unknown removed items from his residence. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Deputies responded to a verbal dispute between two family members over personal property. NEIGHBOR DISPUTE: Two Jeffersonville residents were reportedly involved in a dispute. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: Two Bloomingburg residents reported being involved in verbal dispute. 06-05-17 TRAFFIC CRASH: Phyllis Johnson of West Alex, OH was traveling south on IR 71 when a tire blew on her vehicle. Johnson traveled into the right lane striking the trailer of a semi also traveling south on IR 71. No injuries were reported. DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Janak Patel of Jeffersonville reported a known female came into the business and began yelling, and cussing at him. CRIMINAL DAMAGING: Clifford Rhoads of Washington CH reported person(s) unknown caused damage to his yard and mailbox.
UNRULY: A report was made on a 9 year old male who became upset and began throwing rocks and not listening. The juvenile was counseled on his behavior. AGGRAVTED MENACING: Sheriff s deputies responded to an aggravated menacing complaint. James Mercer was mowing his yard when an unknown person made threats towards him. LITTERING: Sheriff s deputies responded to a littering complaint in Union Township. Reports indicate unknown person(s) dumped several bags of trash along the roadway. MENACING: Christopher Callender of Washington CH reported a known female made threats to his children. Contact was made with the suspect. TRAFFIC CRASH: Gabriel W. Seyfang of Leesburg reported he struck a deer on Fishback Road near Waln Road. TRAFFIC CRASH: A one-car motor vehicle crash was reported on Old Chillicothe Road near Robinson Road. Harpreet S. Sandhu of Bakersfield, California was cited for Failure to Control. TELEPHONE HARASSMENT: Paul Winterbotham of Jeffersonville reported he had received an unwanted voice mail from an unknown person. 06-04-17 TRAFFIC CRASH: Robert D. Brannon of Blanchester reported he struck a deer on I-71 near the 73 mile post. TRAFFIC CRASH: Courtney Adams of Chillicothe reported she struck a deer on U S rte 35 near Palmer Road. TRAFFIC CRASH: Austin L. Osborne of Jackson reported he struck a deer on U S rte 35 near S R 41. ILLEGAL CONVEYANCE OF DRUGS: A deputy of the Fayette County Jail reported during the intake process, narcotics were located on an inmate s person. UNRULY: An employee of the Ranch of Opportunity reported a client had become unruly, running away. The Juvenile was located shortly thereafter and returned to the Ranch. DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Sheriff s deputies responded to the Buckeye Community Apartments on a disturbance complaint. Michael D. Leisure of Washington CH was arrested for Disorderly Conduct by Intoxication. 06-03-17 FATAL TRAFFIC CRASH: The Fayette County Sheriff s Office is investigating a fatal traffic crash that occurred Saturday evening in the 7000 block of US Route 22SE in eastern Fayette County. The crash was reported at 11:11 p.m. According to Sheriff Vernon Stanforth, a 2007 Mercedes operated by Shannon Brown, Age 41 of Circleville, Ohio was traveling west on US Route 22SE when Brown failed to negotiate a curve and lost control of his vehicle. The vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway striking a utility pole and subsequently rolled over multiple times before catching fire and coming to rest in the driveway area of the Buckeye Propane Bulk Plant. Mr. Brown was unrestrained and ejected from the vehicle during the crash. Mr. Brown was transported from the scene by Fayette County EMS to the Fayette County
Memorial Hospital. Mr. Brown was pronounced dead upon arrival to the Fayette County Memorial Hospital by the Fayette County Coroner s Office. Alcohol use is suspected as a factor in the crash. The vehicle sustained heavy damage in the crash and was towed from the scene. Prior to the crash, an officer with the New Holland Police Department reported to crash investigators that he had observed the Brown vehicle traveling in excess of the posted speed limit within the Village of New Holland. The officer reported that he activated his emergency lights in an attempt to stop the vehicle, however the vehicle continued in excessive speed and that he lost sight of the vehicle until driving upon the crash scene. U.S. Route #22 between Clemens Road and White Road remained closed for several hours as a result of the damaged utility pole that caused high-voltage power lines to hang at a low level across the roadway, restricting the passage of motorist until repairs were made by the Dayton Power & Light Company. Traffic control during this time was provided by the Ohio Department of Transportation. Also assisting at the crash scene were members of the Pic-A-Fay Fire Department, the Washington Fire Department, the Bloomingburg-Paint-Marion Township Fire Department, and the Sheriff s Rescue Unit. Members of the Sheriff s Traffic Crash Reconstruction Unit were called to the scene and are continuing their investigation of the crash. TRAFFIC CRASH: Heather A. Kulin of New Holland reported she struck a deer on U S Rte 22 near Clemans Road. TRAFFIC CRASH: A two-car motor vehicle crash was reported on S R 435 at Garringer- Edgefield Road. Rogil Cineus of Pompano Beach, Florida was cited for Improper Turn. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Phillip R. Robinson of Bloomingburg reported he was verbally threatened by a family member. Robinson of Bloomingburg was arrested in the offense. CRIMINAL DAMAGING/THEFT: Paul Grubb of Greenfield reported during the evening hours persons unknown damaged his car, and removed several items. UNRULY: A report was made on a 16 year old unruly juvenile. The juvenile was transported to SCORJDC. CRIMINAL DAMAGING/CRIMINAL TRESPASS: Kyle Smith of Leesburg, OH reported person(s) unknown entered onto his property and caused damage to his vehicle. DRUG ABUSE INSTRUMENTS: Tammy Jester of Washington CH reported locating a syringe inside her residence. Deputy recovered the syringe for disposal. TRAFFIC CRASH: Elaine Yoder of Leesburg, OH was traveling north on Stafford Rd and struck a deer in the roadway. No injuries were reported. 06-02-17 OBSTRUCTING OFFICIAL BUSINESS/POSSESSION OF DRUG INSTRUMENTS: While investigating a separate matter; Kandi J. Jenkins of Greenfield was arrested after providing false information to Sheriff s deputies. Following her arrest, several syringes were found on her person. TRAFFIC CRASH: Johnna Wade of Washington CH was traveling south on US 62. Wade failed to observe a vehicle stopped at the traffic signal at SR 753 striking the vehicle in the rear. No injuries were reported. Wade was issued a citation for Assured Clear Distance Ahead.
TRAFFIC CRASH: Lawrence Hixon of Eaton, OH was making left turn onto SR 435 from US 35 West. Hixon failed to observe a vehicle traveling east on SR 435 striking the vehicle. No injuries were reported. Hixon was issued a citation for Failure to Yield. THEFT: Bath And Body Works reported person(s) unknown entered the business obtaining merchandise and departed without making payment. DRUG ABUSE: Sheriff s deputies responded with EMS to Main St, Good Hope on a male subject unresponsive. Upon arrival Ems administered Narcan and the subject became responsive. The male was transported to a medical facility for further treatment. BREAKING & ENTERING/THEFT: Gale Shaffer of Washington CH reported person(s) unknown removed property from her storage unit. DRUG ABUSE: Sheriff s deputies responded with EMS to Peddicord Ave on reports of an unresponsive female. Upon arrival Narcan was administered and the subject became responsive. The female was transported to a medical facility for further treatment. THEFT: Derek J. Myers of Jeffersonville reported sometime within the past 48 hours persons unknown entered his motor vehicle, removing several items. 06-01-17 UNRULY: A Jeffersonville resident reported a child within the household who became unruly. The child was counseled. THEFT: Tara Luckett of Jeffersonville reported sometime overnight persons unknown entered her motor vehicle, removing several items. ABANDONED VEHICLE: An abandoned vehicle was located on S R 753 near Braden Road. The vehicle was towed by Moore s Towing, after several attempts were made to contact the vehicle s owner. PROTECTION ORDER SERVICE: Sheriff s deputies made contact with a respondent in a Protection Order at the Fayette County Jail and served the order. He was advised of the guidelines and the consequences of any violations. DRUG ABUSE/IMPROPER HANDLING FIREARM IN MOTOR VEHICLE: Sheriff s deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on SR 41 for a traffic violation. Sheriff s K-9 was requested to the scene. Narcotics were located. During the investigation, an occupant of the vehicle was in possession of a firearm. Micah Kidwell of Washington CH and Clarence Jones also of Washington CH was arrested and charged in the matter. VIOLATING PROTECTION ORDER: Deputies were dispatched to a residence in Octa in reference to a violation of protection order. Deputies made contact with both respondent and protected person at the residence. Richard Cunningham of Washington CH was arrest for violation of protection order. DOMESTIC DISPUTE: A resident of Jeffersonville reported she was involved in a verbal dispute with her spouse.
